telegram is like what 4chan would be if it started as a messaging service. it's always felt very familiar with its vibes

i see a lot of discourse on how "kids aren't buying/asking for toys anymore". well, maybe if they didn't suck, it wouldn't be outclassed by an ipad. i feel like a lot of companies saw the writing on the wall with the ipad generation and immediately rushed to cut costs, betting that ipads would beat them anyway. i think toy companies sealed their fate in doing so. removing the detail, build quality, etc from toys made them unappealing. even kids can tell when shit is phoned in, at least i could because i was a spergy little bastard (and still arguably am)

Today I learned(thanks history homo’s podcast) that Canada will not extradite an individual to face the death penalty in a foreign country. I repeat. Canada, the assisted suicide capital of the world, will not extradite a criminal to face the death penalty.
