I genuinely wish for a day we can remove the terms yaoi, yuri, GL and BL. Because we don't use the terms "straight love" or "straight romance" for romance media including straight couples. This unconsciously implies that heterosexuality is the default and further encourages the rise of heteronormativity. Also, because of every media containing queer people having sexual or romantic tension or sexual acts between queer people being displayed in them, even the ones that are horror and psychological thriller oriented fall into the same category as the ones with healthy couples. For a young, queer mind, consuming medias that show queer people engaging in non-con sexual acts, torture and unhealthy relationship dynamics, is tremendously harmful; because it normalizes and even romanticizes unhealthy dynamics. It's as if putting the movie "Obsession" into "Hetero Romance", think about it, does it really work?! Hence manhwas like Killing Stalking and Reverse Thinking shouldn't be called BL or yaoi EVER! I think one of the reasons we have a long way to actually reach a level of progressiveness to actually remove the terms GL/BL and yaoi/yuri is that straight people are not comfortable consuming/can't consume queer media like any other media, unless it fetishizes the homosexual relationship of their own opposite sex! That's why we see a lot of cishet women or men consume yaoi or yuri but you never see a straight woman read yuri or a straight man read yaoi!
