RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME Dsc. Dsc. DD. FRIDAY JUNE 12 2026 DISCERN THE SOURCE But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan… (Matthew 16:23). Not everything that sounds right is from God. Not every thought, idea, or opinion that comes nicely is inspired by the Spirit. You must learn to discern. In Matthew 16, for example, the Lord Jesus asked His disciples, “… whom say ye that I am?” (Matthew 16:15). Peter answered, “...Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16). Then the Lord said to Peter, “…Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:17). But shortly afterwards, when the Lord Jesus began to speak about His death, Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “...Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee" (Matthew 16:22). Notice what happens next: immediately, the Lord “…turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” (Matthew 16:23). This was the same Peter: one moment, he was speaking by revelation from God, the next moment, Satan is speaking through him. But the Lord Jesus discerned the source of the words Peter spoke. He didn’t address Peter as a person; He addressed the source and said, “Get thee behind me, Satan.” That means you must discern the source of every word, inspiration and action. When you speak, it should always be from God. Your thoughts should always be inspired by the Holy Spirit so that your words will synchronize with God’s perfect will. Peter spoke from personal desire. He wanted an earthly kingdom. He wanted a position. He wanted a system that favoured him. What sounded like concern was actually self-interest. So, don’t judge things by how they sound; you’re to discern them by the Spirit. Not every good-sounding word or emotional reaction is spiritual. That’s why you must stay filled with the Spirit and let the Word of God dwell in you richly. 1 John 4:1 declares, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God….” 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 tells us not to despise the Word (prophecies) but to test everything and hold fast to that which is good and edifies. In other words, discern the source. PRAYER / CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for granting me spiritual discernment. I’m not led by appearances or emotions; I’m led by your Spirit. I recognize the source of thoughts and words, and I walk in alignment with your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. #𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 I am the very definition of prosperity, for the Lord has blessed the work of my hands, and my storehouses are full (Deuteronomy 28:12). I am in Christ; I will never experience lack or limitation, for I am a child of a limitless God. His wealth and abundance are my inheritance, and as an heir of Christ, I walk in the fullness of all that He has given me (Romans 8:17). My financial path is one of constant increase and progress, for my path is that of the just that of the just that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). My financial records are being broken daily because of the grace of God upon my life, and I am faithful in my giving, knowing that it will return to me multiplied (Luke 6:38). I declare, I am rich! I am permanently prosperous and excelling in all things. I am empowered by the Holy Spirit to prosper in every area of my life (Deuteronomy 8:18). My investments, business ventures, and entrepreneurial efforts are blessed and flourishing, because I am a faithful steward of God's resources (Matthew 25:21). None of my endeavours shall fail or fall short of their expected results. My hands are blessed, and everything I touch prospers (Psalm 1:3). My bank accounts are always overflowing with abundance, and I am continually receiving divine ideas and opportunities that lead to wealth and success. Hallelujah! I declare that I am fruitful in every area and my greatness is manifesting even now. I am divinely positioned for supernatural growth and unlimited increase in my finances (Isaiah 55:12). The favour of God surrounds me like a shield, bringing wealth and opportunities to my door (Psalm 5:12). I declare that money is finding its way to me from every direction, as I walk in alignment with the Father's will and purpose for me. Financial opportunities and big ideas are constantly coming into my life, and I am filled with divine wisdom to handle them. The grace of God empowers me to walk in wealth and to be a blessing to others (2 Corinthians 9:8). I have been set up for a mighty wealth transfer, and I am ready for the manifestation of the riches that belong to me. I am flourishing in every area, and I will never know lack. Glory to God. Amen! New doors of opportunities are opened unto me by the Spirit of God. I’ve been granted spiritual insight and set on the right course for life. The keys of the kingdom have been given unto me; therefore, I am celebrating my riches generously. Now, is my due season. Great power for prosperity and control are put in my hands. I’m exalted to a position of authority. Much more is committed to me spiritually, materially, and financially. In every aspect of my life, I am exalted and magnified. My greatness is increased because I am an heir of God; therefore, the silver is mine, and the gold is mine; the world belongs to me. My progress is unstoppable because I cannot be limited by sickness, disease, or the negativities of the ordinary life. As Jesus is above all things, so am I. The Holy Spirit has beautified my life. He brings colour into my life. I live a wonderful, colourful, beautiful, and productive life. I am daily vitalized, refreshed, renewed, and restored by the Holy Spirit. In the Name of Jesus, I refuse arthritis, diabetes, cancer, tumours, paralysis, kidney failure, heart failure, and lung failure in any place in my body. Everything about my body is perfect; my lungs, liver, heart, blood, and every part of me is perfect. I declare that I live, rule and reign above them all. There’s no death in my life, family, finances, business, or job because the One in me is greater. I have special favour! Great things are coming to me by free course. The Spirit of God draws men, women, resources and all kinds of good things towards me. My gates are open continually, and good things are ministered to me now. There’s beauty, favour, grace, and open doors for me everywhere. I’m continually filled with the Spirit of God. I have the life and nature of God in me; therefore, I’m an overcomer and more than a conqueror. I live in Christ, where divinity reigns. I reign in prosperity with peace, health, and an abundance of wealth. I enjoy the supernatural life that God has given me, in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen. Numbers 23:23 NLT No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel... As God"s child, you don't  need to be afraid of anything. The Bible says if you're in Christ, you're a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). That means you were born into God's blessing! In the Bible, a man named Balaam tried to curse God's people. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't speak curses; only blessings came from his mouth. He had to admit, "No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel." (Numbers 23:23 NLT). Just like Israel, you're special to God. You're blessed and protected because you're in Christ. God's good plan for your life can't be stopped. Nothing meant to harm you can succeed. Glory to God! SCRIPTURE READING Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. SAY THIS I am in Christ, and Christ is in me. Therefore, nothing can hurt me. I'm protected and secure, and I walk in God's blessings every day. Amen!

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TEEVO PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME THURSDAY, JUNE 11TH 2026 DON’T GET LOST IN  “THE WORLD” (Guarding Your Spiritual Priorities) TO THE BIBLE - Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.” LET’S TALK “Are you coming to church tomorrow?” Daniel asked Ben as he cleaned his football boots.“I’m not sure,” Ben replied. “We have football practice, and my coach says attendance is compulsory.” Daniel paused. “But what about the service?” Ben sighed. “I know… I just don’t want to miss out on  the team selection.”Daniel smiled gently. “Don’t forget; God should always come first.” Many teenagers today miss church because of football practice, online games, social media, movies, or hanging out with friends. A young man once told me he couldn’t make time to go to church on Sunday because he had to play soccer. How sad.The Lord Jesus Christ, in the opening scripture, warns us of the need to be careful lest our hearts become overcharged with surfeiting. In other words, He’s telling us to avoid overindulgence in the things we’re interested in or like to do, so much so that we get lost in them. This includes spending too much time on phones, games, entertainment,  and social media. 1 John 2:15-17 says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” Sports, school activities, clubs, and hobbies are good, but they must never replace your walk with God. Therefore, you shouldn't let such engagements take pre-eminence over being in Church when you ought to. If you give your wholehearted attention to such transient endeavours, you'll miss out on the most significant things of life: "For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come " (1 Timothy 4:8). So, to miss church services for soccer, gaming competitions, extra lessons, or even a business meeting isn't the best for you. Even if you were ordered to go for such a business meeting or soccer practice on a Sunday morning, show yourself to be different and request a change in the schedule! Be bold enough to stand for your faith, even when it feels uncomfortable. Show yourself to be spiritual. Don't let the things of the Spirit be relegated to second place in your life. GO DEEPER Romans 8:5-8 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. PRAY Dear heavenly Father, I'm so thankful to you for your Word and the peace and comfort I derive therein. I affirm and confirm my love for you by declaring that nothing in this world is worth anything compared to the fullness of joy and the pleasures of your presence. You alone are my heart's desire, and I worship and adore you today and forever, in Jesus' Name. Amen. It’s unfortunate that, out of indifference or lack of spiritual discipline, some Christians neglect to confess God’s Word concerning their lives, assuming they can always do so later. But spiritual things don’t work that way. When you delay to apply God’s Word against the adversary, you create room for his operations to persist. Don’t allow it. Deal with him promptly and decisively, giving him no place. The Scripture is clear: “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27). The instruction in our opening verse is equally clear: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That resistance is not for a later time; it is for the very moment he attempts to afflict your body or interfere with your circumstances. You don’t postpone it; you confront it immediately with the Word. To delay is to yield ground, but to act on the Word is to enforce your dominion. Speak the Word and exercise your faith as the Scripture instructs: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:16-17). Refuse to accommodate anything contrary to what God has said about you. This is the life of faith. You respond with the Word at once and align your actions with the truth you have received. Always remember that Satan is a defeated foe; you’re superior to him. You’ve already overcome him and all his demons. Keep them where they belong—under your feet. Hallelujah! PRAYER / CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for the power of your Word in my life. I respond immediately to every situation with your Word, enforcing my dominion and walking in the reality of all that you’ve made available to me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
