in the spirt of building castles with the rocks thrown at you, i built an app to help me track my oxygen saturation, blood count, ventilation progress, medical proceedures such as phlebotomy, and history of hospital visits, and guide me on helpful measures based on my context such as location (humidity, weather, and temperature) and activity (step count).
i have always been open about my cardiac health (besides my mental health) and battling the congential heart dieseases i have and their effect on the overall physical health and endurance i exhibit had been a struggle i had to take a good care of early on. this ER visit was a little different because i had to stay 4 days and 3 nights hospitalized for an infection without a clear source (so far). my care team at the hospital i was in tried their best to help me in all things they could and thankfully i am a lot better now compared to how i have been earlier this week.
i introduced the app (clearly vibecoded it) to my friends like the following.... (a bit dramatical, but a fun way to document it all)
introducing NoAir – an app that saves me from clocking out before saying bye to my loved ones and more importantly without utilizing the double limits of codex usage

let’s normalize working on your 9-to-5 only and living an average life that is free from curiosity, lifelong learning, visibility, and extreme productivity
otherwise, biology normalizes you with an unidentifiable pain that would be hard to deal with
count me out…
i will loosen up my efforts on ledgerly and consistent posting for a while
i will focus on work and work only when i get back on my feet

Repost from Robi makes stuff
the case for local jobs is so weak
they pay sad wages
they are entitled SO MUCH
they act like they own your soul
they expect you to commute 2 hours
the promotions are very small
you cant even claim to do it for experience because most of the time youre doing something thats been outdated since we changed PMs
you either gotta get so lucky with a great boss ( i did once )
or you gotta be working a government contract to make it worth it

1 USD = 155 ETB.
No one here is paying me 155x my effort, so I stopped working with local clients like 1 and half year ago. (same for @Natyiu0). If you trust your skills and have solid projects (not just AI to do lists), go to YC startups, find early stage founders on LinkedIn or X, and DM them. Twitter Premium helps and its worth it.
If you’re good, you can land a $1k internship for 1–2 months. Go all in, and it can turn into a $3k–$4k full-time role. I’ve seen it happen. If you’re not there yet, build. 2–4 hours a day. One strong project every week for 4 weeks. Post on X (views don’t matter), then start DMing.
Keep building, make projects more complex over time. Just make side projects a habit. Rewire your brain.
