بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم A look back at our last workshop as we prepare for our next 🌿 During the last holiday the girls explored what it means to eat healthily, discussing the different food groups and the importance of a varied diet. They made their own eat well plates and put their learning into practice to create their own unique sandwiches. We learnt of the etiquettes of eating to ensure we attain barakah from our food and remember Allah, the one who provided us with it, when eating. Fruit skewers were made with varied shapes and designs, wrapped up as a lovely gift to take home, and the girls each had a turn at squeezing fresh orange juice, a small but meaningful reminder of the effort behind our daily food and drink. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Our summer workshops have officially come to an end. Alhamdulillah, what a journey it has been! 🌸 On our final day together, the girls continued building their crochet skills, decorated sashes, created thoughtful vision boards, and enjoyed a well-earned pizza for lunch. We also continued our weekly aqeedah by reflecting on the true meaning of لا إله إلا الله It’s been beautiful to see the girls take on new challenges with creativity, patience, and determination, from crafts to teamwork to learning together. Jazaakum Allahu khayran to all the families who joined us this summer, your support and trust mean so much. This may be the end of our summer workshops, but in shaa Allah it’s only the beginning. They strengthened their aqeedah by exploring what it means to live by our deen and who our Messenger ﷺ is, whilst also letting their creativity shine through poetry, bookmark painting and writing letters to their future selves. They tried their hands at new crafts too - from making beaded flower bracelets to taking their very first steps in crochet. Along the way, they discovered that learning something new isn’t always easy, but with patience and determination, the results are worth it. This week we’ll be welcoming the girls for the final session of our summer workshops, in shaa Allah. 💭💭💭 Our role as elders, parents, uncles, older brothers and teachers is to nurture the youth in the best way possible. Our children are the seeds, we are the cultivators, we need to make sure the Ummah can harvest the fruits tomorrow. Look at the state today, and then look at the state of the youth... How do you see the future of a Ummah who's children's minds are taken by every kind of distraction on social media. We are internally bleeding and do not feel it. I fear that Allaah will replace us due to our weakness and negligence. { هَـٰۤأَنتُمۡ هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ تُدۡعَوۡنَ لِتُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن یَبۡخَلُۖ وَمَن یَبۡخَلۡ فَإِنَّمَا یَبۡخَلُ عَن نَّفۡسِهِۦۚ وَٱللَّهُ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَاۤءُۚ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ یَسۡتَبۡدِلۡ قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَكُمۡ ثُمَّ لَا یَكُونُوۤا۟ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُم } Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allâh, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allâh is Rich (Free of all needs), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islâm and the obedience to Allâh), He will exchange you for some other people and they will not be your likes. [Surah Muḥammad: 38] May Allaah rectify us and our children 🤲
