🩸 Myth vs Fact: Is Venous Blood Blue? The Myth: 🚫 Venous blood (الدم الوريدي) inside your veins is blue, while arterial blood (الدم الشرياني) is red. This is why veins look blue through the skin! The Fact: ✅ This is a Big Misconception! 📉 Human blood is NEVER blue. Venous blood is actually dark red (أحمر داكن) because it has less oxygen. The Real Science (Physiology & Physics): 🔬 The blue appearance of your veins is just an optical illusion (خدعة بصرية) caused by how light interacts with your skin: 🥇 Oxygen Levels: Arterial blood is bright red because hemoglobin is fully loaded with oxygen. When it loses oxygen in the veins, it turns dark red, not blue. 🥈 Light Reflection: Red light goes deep into the skin and is absorbed by the blood (hemoglobin)🩸 . Blue light cannot go deep; it bounces and reflects back to your eyes from the skin surface. 👉 Result: Since only blue light reflects back, your brain sees the vein as blue! 🧠✨
