Difference between second and third conditional

- If + past simple, would + base verb
Examples:

2. The third conditional:
- Hypothetical situations in the past.
- The condition did not happen, so the result is also impossible.
- It’s often used to express regret or discuss missed opportunities.
Structure:
- If + past perfect, would have + past participle
Examples:

- If we had saved more money, we whould have bought a bigger house.
- If they had told me about the meeting, I would have attended.
