So, it all started like this: This morning, I opened up my LinkedIn and saw this post - Linkedin Post, and I decided to give it a try. The project is called FreeLLMAPI. What the project does is: it aggregates free LLM provider tiers into One OpenAI-compatible endpoint (behind: /v1/chat/completions). Keys are encrypted at rest; the router handles fallover and rate limits. In the repository, there are more than 12+ providers connected. The fallback system makes the unified API key work without stopping by automatically switching between models when one model quota limit is reached. Some of the providers include: • Google Ai Studio, Groq, Cerebras, SambaNova, NVIDIA Nim, Mistral, OpenRouter, GitHub Models, Cohere, Cloudflare, HuggingFace, Z.ai (Zhipu)... The project has got a dashboard where you can get: ✅ AI Playground to test your APIs ✅ Unified API Key ✅ 14+ providers connection in a simplified way They used: ReactJS, NodeJS/ExpressJS, SQLite (via better-sqlite3) to build this project. And I took the project a step further. I cloned the codebase from GitHub, customized it a bit and deployed the it on my server. Then I added 9+ providers API keys.
