Environmental regulations, including Indonesia’s Law No. 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management, must be enforced consistently, without allowing powerful interests to escape accountability. the government must take responsibility not only by responding to fires but also by preventing them, protecting vulnerable communities, and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable through a fair legal process. the suffering of Kalimantan’s people and wildlife must not be ignored, and public attention must not fade while the crisis continues. protecting Kalimantan means protecting its forests, its biodiversity, its people, and the future of generations to come. #AllEyesOnKalimantan
