The Software Guy:
So one night, a public transport bus with like 15 people is traveling from addis to Jimma 355+ km in the dark and once they hit the gibe forest area, where the vibes are straight horror movie, Shene rebels (ሸኔ) stop the car and force everyone out.
One of the rebels goes, “How many of you are oromo? how many are amhara?” and everyone just freezes on the spot. They tell the oromos to stand on the left and the amharas on the right.
then there’s this one dude standing there confused like his brain lagged. when they ask him what’s wrong, he goes, “I’m half amhara and half oromo… dad and mom.” they told him to stand alone like a limited edition 😭.
Then they start taxing people. amharas 3000 birr each “for the movement to support the rebels,” oromos 6000 birr “since we share culture,” and that guy who tried to be smart to survive? They hit him with 9000 birr because he’s “both sides combined.”
Bro tried to escape with a lie and ended up paying DLC pricing instead 😭😭😭.
