| 5 | this is how my second semester is looking like.
even though i finished with a very average GPA my first semester, one failed course and some hatred toward my hss and chemistry professors, i am fired up about my second semester.
i am retaking cs101, taking two core requirements for mechanical engineering (understanding of materials and processing & applied electronics), PNRing calculus II, differential equations, and cs101 again. also taking korean 3 after the camp, so that i will be able to take korean 4 in my third semester and take topik 2 next winter. general physics lab 1 is basically for more credits while i also have pnr system. happy college life is a requirement for graduation and will be given automatically.
the rest of required general courses (chem lab and gen bio) will be left for the third and last semesters, so that i wont lose that much of my time.
with this plan, i will have finished 41 credits and 4 activity units in my first year. 97 credits will be left for the next semesters, which will be 15-18 credits per semester.
i copied the requirements, course recommendations, and my progress to claude and said to make a plan for my next semesters. i explained my condition, and my passion to make a start up based on robots or joining one or labs. it accounted for everything and made the perfect plan for an advanced mechanical/robotics engineer.
the hardest semester will be my fifth. i will be taking 4 core required ME courses. even though i will be having the same amount in my 6th and 7th, we can see from the third picture that the last year has got lots of courses, meaning it might be manageable to take them all. but i preferred to distributed those and make some room for projects and job and master's application during my last two semesters, 15 credits each.

| 7 | update on korean camp: in just three days we have covered 80 pages of the book, which is two chapters. although in physics and other courses we used to cover a chapter a lesson, it is much harder because i am learning a new language completely from scratch. i haven't yet learnt new words and 30 more words are on their way.
also, i dont have time for anything else because of it. it's like taking 4 tutor extra classes each day from 9.30 to 17.30, and at the end of the day, you end up with 10 pages of homework.
i miss english to some extent because they speak only in korean in our classes. it's not even a camp, but four classes everyday with loads of homework and learning.
still, i have to learn it. we are covering topik level 1, and i will be taking courses for level 2 next year, both semesters, and hopefully take the exam next year.
anyways, the learning won't stop. one of my goals until graduation is to get topik 3 or 4, for companies like samsung, lg, hyundai, and sk ask for it.
might even do master's and then go into an industry. | 58 |

i know it is the very basics of python, but i still learnt something. one of the problems i had while coding is that, at first, i tried to write everything with elifs. from meters to feet, from meters to inches, and so on. i would have needed to write 25 copies of the same code but with different units. i didn't know what to do.
and then claude says that there is an easier way to do it: dictionary. the dictionary holds every unit and inside there is a factor for each other unit. it made the work so easy i finished this project in an hour.
i was also obsessed over the layout of the terminal and tidy lines. it took time as well to learn the spacing and adjusting to my own preference.
the reason i started practicing is that i am very slow in programming. in cs101 finals, i could barely solve the half of one problem out of five. since i failed it and retaking it next semester, i want to at least focus on this craft along with the tormenting korean camp. | 59 |
