day 1 learned about: - boolean attributes - importance of meta tags in SEO - how meta tags are used for search engines to find the description of the site - Google's webmaster tools to use sitelinks in google search (links like downloads, courses, etc under a google search results) - Open Graph Data. A tool that makes your site preview better when sharing it in social platforms like telegram Streak: 01 #webdevJourney @yeab_dev

I'm a fan of consistency (even if sometimes I suck on it 😅) It's even my favorite English word. It doesn't matter how much; if you do something that contributes to where you want to be tomorrow, you'll get there. But I don't mean to slow down. We need to know when we have to be faster, slower, and hit pause. While working on the skill you want to build, documenting your journey makes you move faster, reflect on your mistakes and focus on your goals. I like documenting my progress. Progresses that show improvement as you work on challenges, learning new skills and figuring things out. That is why I'm starting to document my web development journey here. I've been a mobile developer for about 2 years now (just a month professionally 😁). Now that I've got things sorted out and allocated time to learn the skills I want to be good at, it's time to start learning while posting the journey here. I'm gonna use MDN Web Docs and post an update on what I learned everyday (may God help me on that😄) #webdevJourney #kickOff @yeab_dev

Tinnitus 😭 That random whistling sound you sometimes hear in your ears… I’ve been hearing it for over 6 hours now. Any idea what I should do?

If you have your personal channel on your profile, you don't have a freedom of speech 🥲

I went to a funeral the other day, and not many people were crying as hard as they do at other Habesha funerals. Later, while I was talking with my cousin, I said “በደምብ አልተለቀሰም…” She replied “ወዳጅ ሲኖርህ ነው ቀብርህም ‘ድምቅ’ የሚለው…” That was when I realized that in our funeral culture having people mourn for you at your funeral is actually a privilege. Stay alive #thoughts @yeab_dev

🤍 Dagmawi Babi's Meetup This year I'm starting with a new and independently organized Dagmawi Babi event! 🎉 Dagmawi Babi's Meetup is the first of it's kind event organized by Dagmawi Babi and his team as a thank you to all the incredible individuals, creators, event organizers, companies and communities improving and accelerating the tech and design ecosystem. It's a thank you for taking risks, for pioneering new ventures, for taking the blame, for investing so much of yourself into the benefits of everyone else, for spending months building epic things, for spending countless nights preparing events, for imagining a community that can be much better than what it is and working towards your vision. We're going to spend an incredible full day where we listen to insightful keynotes, explore project showcases, attend a live podcast (Devtopia), hold an in-person Creator Awards (by Codenight) and so much more. The date is Jan 24, 2026 and the event will take place at DxValley 2.0. So if all of this sounds like your type of event, register at dagmawi.dev/meetup and claim your ticket. Make sure to select "Attending" from the options. Thank you again and I can't wait to see you there! Yours truly @Dagmawi_Babi
