Crazy thing: A young man was run over, shot and still ran away. It happened in Foz de Yguazu. On the morning of this Monday, April 15, 2024, around 9:30 a.m., the paramedics from Siate, in Foz de Yguazu, were alerted to go behind the Laudemir Neves public prison, in the Jardim Atlantis, to provide assistance. The victim, a young man who was run over, and then shot as can be seen on closed circuit cameras. Given the information, an ambulance from Siate and medical support went to the scene. Siate first responders treated the victim identified as Luiz Henrique de Almeida, 22, who, in addition to the injuries caused by the crash, had two gunshot wounds, one in the arm and another in the face. According to information, three people were in a VW/Fox vehicle when the victim was hit on a public road, and the victim ran away, being chased and shot. The victim was taken to the Emergency Service of the Municipal Hospital in serious condition.

But this patient's story takes the cake. After plummeting 7 stories down an elevator shaft, he's lucky to be alive. Take a closer look at the X-ray and you'll see a complete open femur fracture - possibly both femurs, given the awkward positioning of his legs. It's a miracle he landed feet first!
