However, research shows that natural gas can be even deadlier than coal. 🤑 A gas power plant is not a transition to a sustainable world; it is making profits from new fossil! 🪧 There is wide opposition from Nijmegen citizens and national environmental organisations. But politicians prefer to listen to ENGIE. Therefore, we announce a new mass action: 🗓 Come to Nijmegen on 1 June 2024! On Sunday April 14, we are organising an OPEN ASSEMBLY to discuss the organization of an action camp against gas at the end of summer. The action camp will target gas infrastructure expansion, such as LNG. Both the assembly and the camp will take place in Rotterdam, the epicentre of fossil gas in The Netherlands.
