Upon successful completion of the program, you will be strategically placed within a department that aligns with your strengths and our operational needs, ensuring a seamless transition into your role as a Young Professional. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related fields. Recent graduate within the last 2 years, including this year’s graduating students. Minimum GPA of 3.6 or above. #News Ethiopia to allow up to 49% foreign ownership in banks The draft proclamation for Banking Business in Ethiopia will allow foreign investors to take up to 49 percent share in Ethiopian financial firms. The highly anticipated proclamation includes provisions for foreign players to establish partially or fully owned foreign bank subsidiaries, open foreign bank branches, establish representative offices, or acquire shares of a bank. It also states that foreign nationals, other than foreign banks and foreign-owned Ethiopian organizations, may acquire shares in banks. However, direct shareholding by a strategic investor in an existing or new domestic bank is limited to 40 percent of the total subscribed shares of a bank.

In the opening remarks, a senior UNECA official welcomed the distinguished guests and esteemed colleagues, emphasizing the critical role that strengthening financial architecture plays in driving economic and social development in Africa. “We gather here today not just as individuals from diverse backgrounds and expertise, but as a collective force united by a common goal: to strengthen and advance the financial architecture of our continent,” the UNECA representative stated.
