one of my best friends is actually in medicine doing part time development as well , i think proper scheduling helps separting between when to focus on the med and when to focus on the code, sometimes the overwhelmingness comes from not planning very well initially, i have the same issue, specially exam season, one thing i do is not code when theres a week left for exam til its done , unless its urgent

first, i respect the grind second, i do think you should still persue it because for one, i think were still a bit far for developers to be completley replaced two demo, you can shift into other aspects of development later and be with the people making the AI instead of just making websites uk , the further u go into the feild, until AI starts having children on its own atleast

i think Google is on top of the faang companies in terms of compensation but look up what % of employees actually stay at faang companies for more than a couple months and a lot report being so overworked that theyre depressed
