🎹 This September, our Unity In The Community project hosts two workshops supported by Ableton, focusing on both their hardware and software. Tutors will be Sarah Roellinger Shaikh (aka Monibi), certified Ableton Trainer, DJ, producer, sound engineer, and label head of Low End Therapy Records, and Dr. Banu Çiçek Tülu, sound artist, music producer, DJ, and lecturer at Berlins University of the Arts. 📌 More info / apply via our website.

Groove For Good is a new project from ChariTea, supporting Refuge Worldwide's community and educational projects with a party on our behalf.

🔎 SPY Story: Training against disinformation through storytelling! In collaboration with Arts of the Working Class (AWC) and Energie-Alternative in Palermo, we have been developing SPY STORY, a project that invites young adults (18 -35) to push back against disinformation through the art of storytelling. Apply now for podcasting or zine making workshops here, deadline 20th August. Workshops will be hosted in Berlin during early September. More information on our website.

🎹 As part of our Unity In The Community programme, the music production studio at Niemetzstrasse 1 is available to book daily (Mon-Sat) for no € charge. The studio comes fully equipped so you don't need to bring anything, but feel free to hook up whatever you like into the existing system. Suitable for podcasts, recording vocals, learning a new instrument, or working on your music. Free sessions are twice a day, 2.5hrs. Please note we add more open sessions each month - if you can’t find a suitable slot, you can check back again next week. 💛 New music Monday We've released a new EP on the Refuge Worldwide in-house label, "Revolution At Dawn", by Ghanaian poet, writer and curator Mr. Poetivist. A spontaneous freestyled poem dedicated to the people of Sudan recorded in our studio at Niemetzstraße has been reworked by four artists, NikNak, Ivano Tetelepta, Myles Morgan, and gugol maps. All proceeds from the EP sales will be sent to Sudanese American Physicians Association, a charity working to enhance healthcare access, deliver medical aid and foster community resilience during wartime in Sudan. ChariTea are launching Groove For Good this summer, a new fundraising series geared toward helping grassroots and non-profit platforms around the world. The first edition will be in Berlin, and they’ve kindly offered to support Refuge Worldwide's community and educational projects with a party on our behalf. We’ve curated a line-up featuring house legends, friends of the station, and long-time radio residents. There will also be an unannounced set from a pioneering American musician, vocalist, producer, DJ, and graphic artist.
