In conclusion, although there are valid concerns regarding the potential impact of introducing financial education into school curricula, the long-term benefits of equipping children with financial literacy skills far outweigh any short-term challenges. However, I believe that the disproportionate coverage of negative news does more harm than good for both individuals and communities. On an individual level, when people are bombarded with news reports on violent criminal acts, deadly environmental disasters, and never-ending conflicts between countries like Russia and Ukraine, debilitating feelings of insecurity, discomfort, uncertainty, and anxiety may ensue. A by-product of these experiences is a decline in personal contentment and emotional well-being. Take the constant coverage of hostilities between Israel and Palestine in the mainstream media, which has not only driven a wedge between Muslim and Jewish communities but also taken a huge psychological toll on affected populations.
