🔥BAND 9.0 PERFORMANCE🔥
In today's major cities, the escalating levels of traffic gridlock and air contamination are inextricably intertwined with our increased dependency on private vehicles. Mitigating this issue requires a transition from private cars to efficient public transport networks, a viewpoint to which I totally subscribe.
Opponents of private car usage cite various reasons to support their stance. They point out the proliferation of personal vehicles that have led to severe traffic congestion in urban centers, particularly during rush hours. Due to massive traffic jams, not only do commuters waste time, but the whole economy also suffers from increased fuel consumption and compromised productivity. From an environmental perspective, the negative impact of private transportation is even more pronounced. The excessive release of carbon emissions from car engines has resulted in a surge in harmful pollutants, thereby exacerbating air pollution and intensifying the greenhouse effect. This, in turn, can give impetus to an upsurge in chronic health conditions, such as respiratory and cardiovascular ailments.
Given the adverse effects of personal vehicle use, it is crucial to encourage individuals to use public transit more frequently. As a single public transport vehicle can carry a larger number of passengers compared to individual cars, the promotion of public transportation can ameliorate traffic snarls. A by-product of this reduced congestion is a reduction in air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, thus fostering a cleaner and healthier environment. Moreover, public transportation is more cost-effective in comparison with personal cars, as it eliminates the expenses associated with maintenance costs, fuel prices, parking fees, and insurance. A good case in point is my country of Uzbekistan, where financially savvy individuals take public transport rather than drive their own cars to reduce their transportation expenditure.
In conclusion, the rise in private car numbers in urban areas has caused a host of issues, ranging from traffic congestion to environmental degradation. To address this problem, taking measures to minimize private car usage and champion public transport as the main mode of travel is essential. Only through efficient and popular public transport systems can strides be made in improving the quality of life for city dwellers and promoting environmental sustainability.

✅WRITING TASK 2 PRACTICE
🥇From a pragmatic perspective
🥇From a sentimental standpoint
🥈On an individual level
🥈On a governmental scale

Although health professionals stress the importance of daily exercise to promote good health, many elderly individuals refuse to exercise regularly. While this issue can be attributed to the confluence of practical and emotional factors, I believe that governments and individuals can take effective measures to come to grips with it.
The lack of exercise among elderly members of society revolves around pragmatic and sentimental considerations. From a pragmatic perspective, many areas, especially those on the outskirts of cities, lack adequate sports facilities such as gyms, workout spaces, and swimming pools. Given this poor infrastructure, not only senior citizens but people of all ages also feel reluctant to commute to lengthy distances to exercise. From a sentimental standpoint, deeply entrenched social norms usually discourage older people from actively participating in physical exercise. Expected to spend their retirement in a conventional way by caregiving for grandchildren, socializing with peers, and relaxing at home, elderly members of society feel pressured to conform to familial and societal expectations. A good case in point is my country of Uzbekistan, where deviating from cultural norms and pursuing regular physical activity as a senior member of family often invite criticism from immediate family members, extended relatives, and neighbors.
Addressing this problem requires a collaborative approach from various stakeholders. On a governmental level, countries must take responsibility for providing convenient access to sports facilities for senior citizens. By increasing the number of conveniently-located and well-equipped recreational centers, it is possible to encourage people, regardless of their age, to engage in regular exercise. On an individual scale, it is crucial for elderly individuals to assume accountability for taking care of their own well-being. Rather than adhering to social standards and leading a sedentary lifestyle, they should exercise on a consistent basis and maintain an active way of life to increase their life expectancy and quality of life.
In conclusion, the lack of physical exercise among elderly populations has to do with a dearth of accessible sporting amenities and deeply ingrained social norms. It is through a joint effort from governmental bodies and individual members of society that progress can be made in promoting routine exercise among senior citizens.
