*⬛7. ALLITERATION*
*This is a figure of speech in which a given consonant sound begins each word in a roll and makes it musical. We say the sound alliterates.*

a. The butcher bought a basin. (‘b’ alliterates)
b. The excited girl skipped, swam and skied in the snow. (‘s’ alliterates)

*This is a figure of speech in which an initial vowel sound is repeated in a string of words.*
