*JAMB REGISTRATION POSTPONED TILL MONDAY*

. 🔥🔥 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥 .*2025 UTME REGISTRATION TO START ON MONDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2025.* The registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will now commence on Monday, February 3, 2025, instead of Friday, January 31, 2025. This change is necessary to allow the Board to implement essential adjustments to its registration templates. These adjustments come in light of the recent suspension of certain law programmes at selected universities, as submitted to the Board by the Council for Legal Education. Additionally, the Board discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had used deceptive facilities to be approved, prompting the need for further scrutiny and corrections by disapproving such centres. The Board acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience. *UPDATES ON THE 2025 UTME/DE REGISTRATION.* As a part of activities heralding the 2025 UTME/DE registration and examination exercise, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has held a roundtable with participating financial institutions and other stakeholders. During the meeting, which was held virtually and chaired by the Director, Finance and Accounts Department, Mr.Mufutau Bello, on Friday, 24th January, 2024, announced that 31st January 2025, is the commencement date for the 2025 UTME/DE registration exercise. Speaking on the financial implications for the candidates and other important matters, he disclosed that the 2025 UTME/DE registration exercise would commence on 31st January, 2025 and close on 5th March, 2025, across all JAMB Accredited Computer Based Testing (CBT) Centres nationwide. Other important dates in the exercise, as revealed by the Director was that the expression of interest for the Mock-UTME would close by 23rd February, 2025, while the actual registration would end on 8th March, 2025. Furthermore, the Director stated that the Mock-UTME would come up on 5th April, 2025, while the main UTME would start on 25th April, 2025 and end on 5th May, 2025. For Direct Entry, sales of application documents would start by 10th March, 2025, and close by 7th April, 2025. The Director stressed that the exercise would be restricted to only JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRCs). Another feature introduced by the Board in the upcoming 2025 UTME registration and examination exercise is"Trial-Testing Mock Examination" meant for underage candidates. This window, according to the Director, is necessary as any candidate, who would not be 16 years old as of 30th September, 2025, would not be eligible to sit the 2025 UTME. They can, however, participate in the Mock-UTME as a hands-on experience prior to their full participation once they come of age. Furthermore, the Director disclosed that candidates must specify the type of e-PIN they require at the point of purchase of their UTME application documents as there would be no refund after purchase. While highlighting the various registration options, he submitted that there woud be four categories of e-PINs vending for the exercise depending on the interest and financial capability of individual candidates. The first one would be "Mock Only Trial Testing" for underage candidates at three thousand, five hundred naira(₦3, 500); the next one is Direct Entry application at five thousand, seven hundred(₦5,700);UTME only without Mock-UTME at seven thousand, two hundred naira(₦7,200); and UTME with Mock-UTME at eight thousand, seven hundred naira (₦8,700). The breakdown of the application documents includes:UTME/DE JAMB application fee, as in the previous year and remains ₦3,500; Reading Text: ₦1,000; CBT Centre Registration Service Charge- ₦700; CBT Centre UTME Service Charge: ₦1,500; CBT Mock Service Charge: ₦1,500; Bank Charges: ₦500; CBT Mock-UTME Centre Charge: ₦1,500. In his concuding remarks, Bello cautioned the participants and their agents against extortion of candidates during the exercise, adding that all payments remain cashless and that the Board would not hesitate to sanction any infractor.
