This may be harsh but one of the reasons some persons always see people as selfish is because they don't have a plan for their own life and money. Alot of persons can easily point out someone as selfish because they know the person has money but he/she isn't spending it the way they would have spent it if it was in their possession. This person has money but she doesn't have enough wigs! Why is he not buying shoes! Why can't she/he just be dashing people money, shey he or she said there is money! And trust me, people like that the only thing they know how to do with money is spend it. No future plans No investment No Savings. All they know is money has come, let's spend it. This is one of the reasons why it's hard to see a yahoo boy that can leave the circle of brokenness. Their lives always revolve around being rich one day and being broke the next day because they lack that mental capacity to build wealth. All they understand is that money is meant to be spent. A yahoo boy can have 10million naira one day, two weeks time he is broke to the extent of begging for groundnut and garri! Ask them what they used the money to do, they can't account for it You can never leave the cycle of poverty if you don't see money as a seed. If you understand that money is a seed then every money you make will be accounted for You won't spend money recklessly just because it is available to you. Money is a seed, you should plant it and then eat from your harvest and then repeat the process. This is how wealth is made. But this is what most people do; they eat all their seeds till there is nothing left to plant, then they are always back to square one. No scale of preference on what to spend on No separating of their needs from their wants No accountability on how they spend money No investments Just bad spending habits Buying everything they want .... You have heard this phase from alot of persons, "Money miss road" Yes alot of persons would call people that simply because they feel someone who has money should have a certain way of dressing, should drive some certain car or should spend without thinking. And this is why alot of persons adore yahoo boys and hookup girls because they buy all the lavish things they can buy but they always end up in a circle of unending brokenness and at one point they start selling their properties just to feed. While the person they feel don't know how to spend money is investing, saving and planning for their future. They are busy laughing and tagging names. And at the end who wins? Note; I am not saying because you are building wealth you ought to dress anyhow but every money you make is a seed! Be accountable!.. Don't spend money recklessly simply because you it's available to you Have a spending plan Don't save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving. More important that seeing money as a seed is Delayed gratification. If you can practice delayed gratification with your time, with your finances and even your love life as a teenager or young adult. You will love yourself more at the end.
