quick thing this week: coldcard got drained. ~$88m in bitcoin gone from wallets that had never touched internet. the cause? a single line of code from 2021 that made the seeds guessable.
i dug into the whole thing and wrote a full article on it: how it happened, why, and most importantly how to actually hold your coins yourself (generating your seed with dice, verifying it, offline machine, etc.).
