🇮🇳Indian diplomat slams Western-influenced journos for spreading their propaganda on Russia 👉Former Indian Foreign Secretary Kanwal Sibal, who once served as an envoy to Moscow, has criticized a researcher at a government-funded think tank for echoing "Western views on Russia." 💬Sibal reacted to an article by Swasti Rao, a senior fellow at the Manohar Parrikar Institute of Defense Studies and Analysis (MP-IDSA), published in The Print magazine. ◾️ Rao claimed, "Moscow was simply taking away parts of its neighbours’ territories to stop them from joining NATO." ◾️ Sibal described her understanding of the Russia-West confrontation over Ukraine as "shallow" and "out of line with government views." 🫴He also criticized Professor Sreeram Chaulia, Dean of Jindal School of International Studies, who defended Rao. Sibal accused Chaulia of having a "contempt for Russia" and believing that the Russian economy would collapse soon. Boost us! | Subscribe to @geo_gaganauts

🇮🇳🇵🇰 Pakistan ramps up their ship production amid India's naval build-up ⛴ Karachi Shipyards and Engineering Works (KSEW) is enhancing its capabilities to build larger and more advanced warships. This effort comes as India is constructing its own naval base, Project Seabird, also known as INS Kabamba. ◾️ KSEW has started using a Syncrolift shift lift-and-transfer system, ordered in 2017. This system allows KSEW to manufacture 13 ships on land and move hulls to dockyards for launching and sea trials. ◾️ The port can now support vessels up to 8,000 tons, indicating potential for building heavier ships like frigates, destroyers, or auxiliary vessels. Satellite images have confirmed a new small submarine at KSEW. While the Pakistan Navy has not provided details, the midget submarines are expected to operate in shallow waters and support naval Special Forces. 🪖 KSEW will also construct Jinnah-class frigates, with a contract already signed with ASFAT (military factory and shipyard management) for designing and building four ships according to Pakistan Navy specifications. 🇮🇳🇨🇦 Trudeau’s India allegations meant to divert attention from Nijjar’s misdeeds Officials tracking Khalistani groups in Canada believe that by blaming India for the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canada is trying to absolve Nijjar of the murder of Ripudaman Singh Malik. ◾️ Malik, a Sikh activist acquitted in the 1985 Air India bombing, was killed in July 2022. ◾️ Malik had written a letter to PM Modi expressing gratitude for supporting the Sikh community. ◾️ Canadian police arrested Tanner Fox and Jose Lopez for Malik’s murder but never revealed the motive. ◾️ The Canadian police closed the investigation in the Malik case soon after without revealing “why” Malik was killed. Sources suggest Nijjar ordered Malik’s killing due to factional disputes within the Canadian Sikh community. Boost us! | Subscribe to @geo_gaganauts

🇵🇰🇨🇳 Pakistan affirms support for 'One China' policy amidst Taiwan issue
🗣 "As an iron-brother and a strategic partner of China, Pakistan has always extended its principled support to the Chinese position on Taiwan and will continue to do so. Pakistan adheres to ‘One China’ policy, regards Taiwan as an inalienable part of the People’s Republic of China and supports the Chinese government’s efforts for national reunification. The so-called elections or transition of the self-proclaimed government in Taiwan do not change the objective facts on the Taiwan issue," Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif wrote on X.
Pakistan's vocal endorsement of China's position on Taiwan comes amidst growing global attention on the Taiwan Strait tensions and heightened diplomatic manoeuvers surrounding the island's status. 🇺🇸 China on Friday warned the US that efforts toward "Taiwan's independence" are a "dead end" and "will only backfire" after an unnamed US official urged Beijing to exercise restraint over the cross-strait situation. 🇮🇳 Assam state sets sights on Defence Industrial Corridor after securing major investment 💰 The Assam government, fresh off securing a ₹27,000 crore investment from the Tata Group for a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Jagiroad, is now aiming to establish a Defence Industrial Corridor (DIC). The proposed corridor, stretching from Guwahati to Tezpur, aims to attract foreign investment in defence-based industries, bolstering the state's economic and strategic significance. 📈 Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma envisions Assam as a hub for technology and manufacturing, producing semiconductor chips, defence equipment, mobile phones, and other high-tech products. 🪖 India currently has two Defence Industrial Corridors, in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, which have boosted indigenous defence production and attracted foreign investment. Assam, with its strategic location and growing industrial base, is poised to replicate this success. Economic and Strategic Impact ◾️ The DIC is expected to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and foster skill development in Assam. ◾️ It will enhance India's self-reliance in defence manufacturing and contribute to the goal of doubling defence production to USD 25 billion by 2025.
