😩 Bitcoin Crash or Local Correction? Red Friday - that's how today's day in the cryptocurrency market can be described. The arrival of Bitcoin's price at the $52,600 mark impacted the fall of most altcoins. The reason for this movement was today's news about the start of compensation payments by the Mt. Gox exchange to its users, whose bitcoins were stolen several years ago. The total amount of payments will be 142,000 BTC and 143,000 Bitcoin Cash. That's over eight billion dollars. An important component of the payments includes 4 conditions described in the official document of the exchange. What really happened to the exchange? First, let's go back to 2014 when the then-largest cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox, which operated between BTC and national currencies, declared bankruptcy after a series of hacker attacks, resulting in the theft of about 850,000 BTC. At that time, Bitcoin was worth $600. Magic: The Gathering Online Exchange - sounds beautiful, doesn't it? Once an ordinary platform for trading cards of the popular fantasy game, it gained great popularity among "bitcoiners." The success of the exchange did not go smoothly from the beginning: first, hackers found a vulnerability in the connected banking API, then a theft of more than 80,000 BTC deposits with the server log being deleted, and later the administrator account of the site was hacked, stealing over 35,000 BTC. The exact reason for such manipulations is unknown. There is speculation that it was due to betrayal between the exchange owners. After years of litigation, today the exchange officially began payments to 20,000 victims. Naturally, many preferred to receive compensation in cryptocurrency. An interesting fact - according to Japanese law, people will likely receive compensation equivalent to the 2014 rate. Just imagine, the first trades on the Mt. Gox exchange took place when BTC was worth about 6 cents! 👮‍♂️ Another trigger was the published data from the analytical company Arkham. Over the past few weeks, German authorities began transferring confiscated BTC from wallets to exchanges (Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitstamp). The funds were seized from a pirate streaming resource amounting to 50,000 BTC. Despite the correction, prices started to recover slightly by the evening. Among the top 10 cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap in a falling market, TON performed the best, falling to $6.4 during the day and now trading at $7.27, which in percentage terms is higher than many other coins. Traders are guessing where the market will go next. Short or long - that is the question. For example, the founder of Blum believes that the Mt. Gox effect is overestimated and the market will soon recover. Specifically speaking about TON, the founder of the Storm Trade exchange thinks: "The real bull run on TON hasn't started yet." Overall, analysts believe that the market may still show a slight correction, but a bullish trend currently prevails, which we are yet to witness. What do you think? Bullish or a second bottom? ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #mtgox #bitcoin

👛 Why Would You Want to Move to the w5 Wallet? Anatolii Makosov, the technical lead of TON, announced that the TON Core team has finished developing the w5 wallet contract. Currently, a bug bounty stage is being conducted. Previously, the beta version of w5 was launched by TonKepeer, which we detailed in this post The main feature of the update is the ability to send 255 transactions at once. In the future, this will significantly facilitate the trading of vouchers like Notcoin, enable bulk purchases of NFTs, and quickly transfer large quantities of digital assets from one wallet to another. Importantly, the new contract version has optimized network fees and implemented gasless transactions with USDT and NOT. Additionally, the main feature of the w4 wallet (which most of you currently have) — plugins — has been refined. Plugins are additional code that integrates into your smart contract. For example, a plugin for subscription to a service could be implemented. However, this feature has not gained popularity even after a couple of years. There is little information for developers on implementing plugins, and apparently, no service has adopted this practice. In the new wallet version, the function has been improved to include the ability to recover the seed phrase and freeze the wallet in case of private key compromise, enable two-factor authentication, and more. Anatolii Makosov urged developers to actively adopt the new wallet standard in their applications. For example, there is a service that has partially implemented mass operations — MarketApp. We verified this ourselves by purchasing 4 NFTs in one transaction. So far, only 4 out of 255 possible slots have been used because Tonkeeper (the only one supporting w5 so far) has not yet lifted the limits. With the transition to w5 wallets, similar functionality is likely to appear in other marketplaces. It's great that developers are engaged and addressing current network gaps and key user issues. The main thing is for services (wallets, marketplaces, etc.) to timely implement this functionality and maintain its operability at the required level. ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #w5 #ton

🤑 $20,000 - Can you handle it or not? Today, @notcoin_bot introduced an update that allows every user to launch an advertising campaign for their project. To start, you need to complete a task in the Community Bot, link your TON wallet, and have at least 130 TON in your balance. It seems simple, but the cost of an advertising campaign starts at $20,000. The advertiser must buy $NOT on the market. 80% of the tokens are distributed among users, 10% goes towards development, and 10% is burned. According to a representative, the average cost per subscriber is around $0.15-0.25. Explore brings tens or even hundreds of thousands of subscribers to channels, but there's a downside. The algorithm for verifying task completion (like subscribing to Twitter, registering on a website) doesn't work as it should. It's enough to just click the button, go to the site, and the task is considered completed. However, Notcoin founder Sasha Plotvinov mentioned that they still plan to implement an API that will integrate with social networks and services to verify the completion of such tasks. 🟰 Quantity doesn't always equal quality. Overall, the update is great, and automation is always a plus. The main thing is that the developers carefully moderate projects and avoid advertising casinos, bookmakers, pyramids, and other scams. Would you pay $20,000 for advertising on Notcoin? ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #notcoin #notcoin_bot

📈 Will TON reach $10 and what drives its growth? Today, TON has once again reached the $8 mark. In the crypto industry, and beyond, there's a belief that it's not the news that drives the price of an asset, but rather the price that drives the news. From the perspective of the current situation, it seems slightly the other way around. A case in point is the active public appearances of Pavel Durov and, more importantly, his business trips to Central Asian countries under the guise of “ordinary travel.” It is well-known that during these trips, several strategic agreements were made with leaders in the telecom industry as well as the financial sector. Moreover, Pavel was accompanied on the tour by his brother Nikolai, who developed the MTProto encryption protocol for the messenger in 2013 and is the author of the TON Whitepaper. Did he really just want to enjoy the beautiful mountains and sample the local cuisine? It is possible that Pavel and Nikolai have chosen Central Asian countries as a testing ground. The large number of Telegram users in these countries, similar mentality, and favorable attitude towards cryptocurrency are likely to demonstrate TON's potential. 😱 We are in a very interesting phase, and who knows what else the founding fathers have in store for us… Do you think TON will break the $10 mark by the end of summer or not? ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #toncoin #durov

⭐️ The First Not Task Drop Completed as Part of the Marathon Today is July 2nd, which means the decision period for the drop in @not_task_bot has ended. Participants could choose to carry their points over to the next month or exchange them for notcoins. A total of 48% of the prize pool was claimed, with an additional 10% distributed among NotYou Club members, holders of NotYou Frens NFTs (these NFTs were distributed for free to the top 100 by points in March and April). The remaining 42% was carried over to the next month based on user decisions. Remember, there was a total of one million notcoins, and about 420,000 still remain in the fund. 💰 How to Claim Rewards? Use the /claim command in the bot or the 'Exchange Points for NOT' button in the mini-app. The bot will provide a unique payment link. By paying a fee of 0.15 TON, you will receive NOT in your wallet based on your XP. Similarly, SBTs were claimed in the Community Bot or vouchers in Notcoin. If you encounter any issues with the exchange, contact @charming. Only users who made the decision to exchange points from June 26 to June 30 can do this. Otherwise, your points will be carried over to the next drop. 🐠 Results of the Aqua Protocol Contest Five Aqua Protocol NFTs were included in the prize pool. To determine the 5 winners, a simple open-source script was used, just like last season. The results and list of winning Aqua NFTs can be seen here. Winners should contact @mannft to claim their prize. 🎁 Bonus for Those Who Carried Over Half of the users who decided to carry their points over to the next drop and confirmed this decision by clicking the button will receive a bonus of 100 XP (and another bonus if they have an NFT). If you did not choose anything, the carryover will be without a bonus. Thank you for your active participation. We continue the marathon for you. Explore projects on TON and receive rewards in July. We will also announce some rule changes soon. Stay tuned for updates in the bot. Good luck! ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #not_task_bot #notyou

🤑 Notcoin Tokenomics. Why does the Foundation still have 13% of the emission? - answered by the founder Recently, @notcoin shared how the project's tokenomics have changed up to now: 5.82% of tokens are held by the Notcoin Foundation, and the remaining 94.18% have been distributed to the community through airdrops and other activities. A significant event in the ecosystem was supposed to be the large burning of tokens that users failed to claim by June 16th. Sasha Plotvinov estimated this amount to be in the tens of percent in one of his interviews. However, two days ago, we saw the burning of only 210 million tokens, which is just 0.2%, equivalent to 3 million dollars. This situation did not satisfy everyone. Therefore, one of the admins, notyou, asked Sasha a few questions. Direct quotes will be presented, and our thoughts will be in plain text. Not everything in this post is Sasha's words. Why was so little burned? We think that in the final tally, most uninterested users, farms, etc., were filtered out. Those zeroed-out accounts did not buy a single skin or participate in any Community Bot campaigns. Therefore, during the token tally, only the users who actually played were filtered in. The founder of Notcoin himself considers this theory possible and explained the 210 million figure as follows:
Many people did not claim, but it was a small part of the emission, like 3%. They were divided into 0.2 (burning), 0.3 (drop), and 2.5 in future development. I expected more unclaimed tokens, but it turned out that the most active users claimed most of them, and roughly 10 million less active users with 100k Notcoins each (in the game) are only 1% of the emission. I initially wanted to burn half, but after all the Binance, launch pools, liquidity, etc., there was very little left in the fund - I decided it would be foolish if the project had nothing left for development. Plus, we wanted to allow claiming for gas in TON, but in the end, we didn’t make it and decided that we would just do the claiming for Notcoins, paying the gas ourselves - essentially removing the withdrawal barrier. There was no goal to make it so that people wouldn't withdraw, but I thought there would be more.
Despite the channel announcing that the foundation holds 5% of the tokens, the team’s wallet currently has more than 13 billion $NOT. This is over 13%. Sasha Plotvinov explained this amount as follows:
Staked tokens + earned through Explorer + fund for future development.
This indicates that the work on tokenomics is not yet complete, and it will match the statements from the official channel only in the future. By the way, if the entire fund was previously stored in a regular TON wallet, it has now been moved to a separate multisignature wallet (multisig), which requires the activity of several owners to make a transaction. Sasha said this was Binance's requirement. Interestingly, Binance is the largest holder of NOT, with more than 20 percent of the emission worth 300 million dollars (21 million $NOT) in their wallet. Another odd fact that links Notcoin and Bitcoin is that Binance's cold wallet is the richest Bitcoin address. After Sasha's answers, much became clear. What other questions about Notcoin do you have on your mind? ❤️ @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #notcoin #tokenomics

🥷 Scam in Telegram Ads. How Do Scammers Operate? As the TON ecosystem and community grow, the schemes to deceive users are becoming more sophisticated every day. Until recently, the most common methods of cryptocurrency scams were social engineering (where someone is tricked into transferring funds under some pretext) and the distribution of malicious software (stealers, clippers, etc.). On the TON blockchain, scam NFTs with QR codes and links to fake websites have become "popular." A person follows the link or QR code, connects their wallet hoping to receive an airdrop, and ends up losing TON and valuable NFTs or tokens. Today, we'll discuss a relatively new scam method in TON - advertising drainers through Telegram Ads. ❓ How Does It Work? Scammers register accounts on advertising platforms that provide access to Telegram Ads. Alternatively, they use the official platform with TON payment. A user sees an ad in their favorite channel, which appears to be offering a drop. This ad directly leads to the drainer. The main pretext is the promise of a valuable asset for free. Scammers often use the names of well-known projects. For example, recently, during the hype around a new game from ANON, scammers launched an ad for the ANON Boxes drainer bot, where you could supposedly get a valuable NFT. 🤥 How Does the Drainer Work? The drainer works quite simply: the bot requests wallet connection through the TON Connect protocol, which is supported by popular wallets like Tonkeeper, Ton Space, MyTonWallet, and TonHub. After that, you are sent a transaction that you can either accept or decline. If you confirm, you will send TON and your other valuable assets to the scammer's wallet. For example, one person gifted the ANON Boxes bot more than $50,000 worth of Anon tokens, Gram, and an anonymous number +888 0202 0101, bought two weeks ago for $12,000. ✈️ How Does Telegram Allow Such Ads? These drainer bots spread through official ad posts that are moderated by Telegram. Initially, Telegram introduced strict rules banning the advertisement of even fast food, categorized along with drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. This caused a minor conflict with Burger King. However, many channels are flooded with ads from info-gypsies, pseudo-millionaire traders. Ads that violate Telegram's rules, such as calls to action, excessive use of emojis, etc., still get through. Ads for casinos and bookmakers started appearing next. The final stage of the advertising platform's decline can be seen in ads leading directly to scams. Without any preambles, they take your money outright. 🧑‍💻 How to Avoid Such Scams? The best option is to purchase Telegram Premium. This feature allows you to disable TG Ads. If you cannot afford a premium account, follow the main rule - all legitimate information about drops or activities is published only on the project's official channels. If you see such an ad, first check the project's channel, ask a question in the chat, and be assured that there is a 99.99% chance the ad is a scam. Telegram also needs to improve its advertising platform to prevent such ads from reaching users. Scams will always exist. Every day, more sophisticated schemes appear, trapping even seasoned crypto veterans. 🔍 Do your own research and remember, there's no such thing as a free lunch! ❤️ yours @notyou_en & @not_task_bot | #scam #ton #drainer
