One of the many salvation heresies is that you need to make Jesus “The Lord of your life”. Often, charismatic and new age churches are the ones promoting this. They will deny you are saved if you do not make Jesus Lord of your life. They never tell you that he is already Lord of everything, including your life. You do not get to choose that. What you can do is choose to become a child of God. But, even the children of the devil do not get to change who is Lord.
