TO THEE, O BLESSED JOSEPH
(continued from above)
O most watchful Guardian of the Divine Family, defend the chosen children of JESUS CHRIST; O most loving Father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be propitious to us and from Heaven assist us in this our struggle with the power of darkness; and, as once thou didst rescue the Child JESUS from deadly peril, so now protect God's holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity: shield, too, each one of us by thy constant protection, so that, supported by thine example and thine aid, we may be able to live piously, to die holily, and to obtain eternal happiness in Heaven.
Amen.
i. Seven Years and Seven Quarantines, if said after the Rosary in October.

TO THEE, O BLESSED JOSEPH
TO thee, O blessed Joseph, do we fly in our tribulation, and having implored the help of thy most holy spouse, we confidently crave thy patronage also. Through that charity which bound thee to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and through the paternal love with which thou didst embrace the Child JESUS, we humbly beseech thee graciously to regard the inheritance which JESUS CHRIST hath purchased by his Blood, and with thy power and strength to aid us in our necessities.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary!
Oh bless us as we pray.
Tradition tells us that the Mother of God appeared to St. Dominic, and asked him to propagate the devotion of the Holy Rosary as a powerful means of combatting error and vice. The decisive victory of the Christians at the battle of Lepanto in 1571 prompted Pius V to institute this Feast and to decree that the Blessed Virgin Mary be invoked as “Help of Christians.”

October 7th ~ The Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary
O God, Whose Only-begotten Son, by His Life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life: grant, we beseech Thee, that, meditating on these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise.
Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.

Prayer of Consecration to One's Guardian Angel
Therefore, I implore thee to assist me, especially in the adoration of God and the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar; in the contemplation of the word and the salvific works of God; in the imitation of Christ and the love of His Cross in a spirit of expiation; in the faithful fulfillment of my mission within the Church, serving humbly after the example of Mary, my heavenly Mother, thy Queen.
To thee, my good guardian Angel, who continually beholds the face of our Father in Heaven, wast I entrusted by God from the very beginning of my life. I thank thee with all my heart for thy loving care. I commit myself to thee and promise thee my love and fidelity. I beg thee: protect me against my own weakness and against the attacks of the wicked spirits; enlighten my mind and my heart so that I may always know and accomplish the will of God; and lead me to union with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Amen.
PRAYER of CONSECRATION to ONE’S GUARDIAN ANGEL
O Holy Angel of God, here, in the presence of the Triune God and in the love of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer, I, N. N., a poor sinner, desire to make a covenant with thee, His servant and my appointed Guardian, so that in union with thee, I might work with humility and fortitude for the glory of God and the coming of His Kingdom.

PRAYER to OUR LADY of the ROSARY
O VIRGIN Mary, grant that the recitation of thy Rosary may be for me each day, in the midst of my manifold duties, a bond of unity in my actions, a tribute of filial piety, a sweet refreshment, an encouragement to walk joyfully along the path of duty. Grant, above all, O Virgin Mary, that the study of thy fifteen mysteries may form in my soul, little by little, a luminous atmosphere, pure, strengthening, and fragrant, which may penetrate my understanding, my will, my heart, my memory, my imagination, my whole being. So shall I acquire the habit of praying while I work, without the aid of formal prayers, by interior acts of admiration and of supplication, or by aspirations of love. I ask this of thee, O Queen of the Holy Rosary, through St. Dominic, thy son of predilection, the renowned preacher of thy mysteries, and the faithful imitator of thy virtues. Amen.

Virtue of the Month
OCTOBER — RECOLLECTION
PRAYER to obtain RECOLLECTEDNESS
O MY Jesus! I have loved solitude but little, because I have loved Thee but little. I have gone about seeking pleasures and consolation from creatures who have made me lose Thee, the Infinite Good. Miserable I am, that for so many years I have kept my heart distracted, thinking only of the good things of earth, and forgetting Thee. Oh, accept Thou this heart of mine, since Thou hast bought it with Thy Blood; inflame it with Thy love, and take possession of it for Thine own. O Mary, Queen of heaven! thou canst obtain for me this grace; from thee I hope for it,

ACT of LOVE
Spiritual Communion
I believe Thou art present in the Blessed Sacrament, O Jesus. I love Thee and desire Thee. Come into my heart. I embrace Thee, O never leave me. I beseech Thee, O Lord Jesus, may the burning and most sweet power of Thy love absorb my mind, that I may die through love of Thy love, who wast graciously pleased to die through love of my love. Amen.

Matt 22, 1-14. At that time, Jesus spoke to the chief priests and the Pharisees in parables, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who made a marriage feast for his son. And he sent his servants to call in those invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatlings are killed, and everything is ready; come to the marriage feast.’ But they made light of it, and went off, one to his farm, and another to his business; and the rest laid hold of his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. But when the king heard of it, he was angry; and he sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The marriage feast indeed is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy; go therefore to the crossroads, and invite to the marriage feast whomever you shall find.’ And his servants went out into the roads, and gathered all whom they found, both good and bad; and the marriage feast was filled with guests. Now the king went in to see the guests, and he saw there a man who had not on a wedding garment. And he said to him, ‘Friend, how didst thou come in here without a wedding garment?’ But he was speechless. Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet and cast him forth into the darkness outside, where there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.” S. Praise be to Thee, O Christ.
