as many may know, i am deaf but weird deaf. not fully deaf. i am partly deaf in the way that makes medics go "thats impossible" and then when the tests prove that it is in fact happening, they go "what the fuck, i've never seen something like this, this makes no sense, the test must be wrong" and then they test me again and they get even more confused being weird deaf means that i cant do hearing aids but i tried them i did get hearing aids (stupid expensive) at some point. and those little shits REQUIRED to be connected to an app on my phone by bluetooth and REQUIRED the phone to have the gps active, or else they would refuse to turn on, and i could not use them i cant put into words how dissatisfied that left me. how infuriating that shit was. i still have them in a drawer and i would love to try them again, to see if i could ever get used to them, if they could help at all. but then i remember that my hearing aids will literally not work without a direct connection with google's servers because we live in a fucking dystopia and i forget about trying them out again.

i bought a book collection that includes this thing at some point because the books are good. i doubt they are translated to english tho. but it sure did have a intruder detection system with toilet attack mode
