The Synod of Jerusalem 1672 teaches transubstantiation and the Orthodox Church of America rejects transubstantiation. Some Eastern Orthodox today believe this whereas other Eastern Orthodox deem it as heretical. What would be the tie-breaking mechanism to escape this ecclesial subjectivism?
