You win some and you lose some. That’s rally. Travis Pastrana and co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino made their return to the second day of Rally Colorado after engineers and technicians repaired the sidelined Subaru WRX ARA25L overnight. Car 199 held familiar pace during the first half of day two, earning a pair of P3 stage finishes against faster RC2 competitors. Unfortunately, Travis and Rhi had back to back punctures on SS12 and the power stage SS13, leaving them short of power stage points. Early mechanical issues cause Travis Pastrana and Rhianon Gelsomino to retire from the first day of Rally Colorado. The pair started the rally with good pace before encountering a fuel pump issue on SS2. The problem seemed resolved following refueling, allowing car 199 to return to midday service first in L4WD and fourth overall. However, in their transit to SS4, the issue reemerged, forcing car 199 to retire from the rest of the day. The team is still assessing the situation and will determine if the Subaru WRX ARA25L will return tomorrow to super rally. #subaruwrx #subaru #rally #motorsports Photo: matthew.stryker
