Status of women in the higher judiciary:  ✅Out of 268 judges ever appointed in the Supreme Court since independence, only 11 have been women ✅Justice Fathina Beevi the first woman judge appointed to the Supreme Court in 1989. ✅According to The India Justice Report 2022 women make up 35% of judges in subordinate courts but only 13% in High Courts. Additionally, only 15% of practising lawyers are women.

लोक परीक्षा (अनुचित साधनों की रोकथाम) अधिनियम, 2024 लागू लोकसभा से पारित - 6 फरवरी 2024 राज्यसभा से पारित - 9 फरवरी 2024 अधिनियमित तिथि - 12 फरवरी 2024 लागू तिथि - 21 जून 2024 अधिनियम का उद्देश्य सार्वजनिक परीक्षाओं में अनुचित साधनों के उपयोग को रोकना है। सार्वजनिक परीक्षाओं का अर्थ, बिल की अनुसूची के तहत निर्दिष्ट अधिकारियों द्वारा या केंद्र सरकार द्वारा अधिसूचित परीक्षाएं हैं। इनमें निम्नलिखित शामिल हैं: (i) संघ लोक सेवा आयोग, (UPSC) (ii) कर्मचारी चयन आयोग, (SSC) (iii) रेलवे भर्ती बोर्ड, (RRB) (iv) राष्ट्रीय परीक्षण एजेंसी, (NTA) (v) बैंकिंग कार्मिक चयन संस्थान (IBPS), और (vi) केंद्र सरकार के विभाग और भर्ती के लिए उनके संलग्न कार्यालय।
