ABSOLUTELY mind-blown. such a great book i wish i had read earlier #jinx_reads but, fortunately, this is one you can reread every year and still find food for thought each time. may i present this PEARL: The Details by Ia Genberg

Synopsis: It is a novel built around four portraits; the small details that, pieced together, comprise a life. Can a loved one really disappear? Who is the real subject of the portrait, the person being painted or the one holding the brush?

in my humble opinion: именно из таких тонких, почти незаметных деталей и складывается всё самое важное: память, любовь, утрата, и то, как мы видим других людей через призму самих себя это была одна из тех редких дискуссий, когда у каждого оказалось своё прочтение — и от этого книга только раскрылась ещё глубже :’) ps: учитывая, что книга написана на шведском, работа переводчика здесь особенно ценна ✍🏼
