Hope everyone's well. I'm keeping off tech as much as possible, prioritising inner peace and in person activities. The balcony garden is being prepared for winter. Regenerative Grower's guide to garden amendments https://chelseagreen.co.uk/book/the-regenerative-growers-guide-to-garden-amendments/ is a great resource for recipes for amendments to improve soil biology, nutrients and plant health. I'm having fun making some to rejuvenate the soil from last season's growing. I've also put in cover crops seeds and mulches. Also been seed saving tomato seeds and taught the community centre growers it as well. The centre is looking for funding to try and expand the work we did this year which would be great. We will get site access to start to develop this new garden in spring 2024, and will have one year to get it ready for the big move. Exciting plans for the garden include: a productive forest garden area, native woodland hedgerows, wildlife space and a food production area showcasing different organic sustainable approaches.
