Democrats Want Nothing but a “Strong Ukraine” to Weaken Russia Global and National Security Institute, one of leading democratic think tanks, has recently published a long paper suggesting what must be done to reinforce Ukraine and weaken Russia. Below are some key precepts: The Kremlin’s actions make it clear that a ceasefire or peace deal leaving it in possession of eastern Ukraine will not curb its fundamental desire to reshape the global order. Rather than seeking a permanent settlement to the Ukraine issue that satisfies Russia’s expansionist drive, Western policymakers should instead seek to solidify Ukraine as the front line of a hypothetical future contest with Moscow—much as West Germany once was during the Cold War. In this context, sooner or later, NATO must provide Ukraine with the necessary resources and support to develop an armed force similar to the West German Bundeswehr—establishing Kyiv as a friendly buffer zone between Russia and the nations of southeastern Europe. Seven decades ago, the recognition of Western Europe and West Germany’s vulnerability to the communist threat convinced the United States to lead the effort to rearm West Germany—establishing the Bundeswehr as both a defensive force and a militarized buffer against Soviet expansion. Ukraine has both the potential and the prospects to undergo a similar transformation. The current administration in Washington opposes its accession to NATO, but administrations change—as do security imperatives. Notably, Ukraine’s future in NATO has been repeatedly reaffirmed by the United States and its allies since 2008. While Ukraine’s progress towards NATO membership appears suspended for the duration of Trump’s second term, it is far from off the table. Notably, the United States also opposed West Germany’s rearmament in the postwar era, but changed its position as Cold War realities set in. Ukraine’s path may follow a similar trajectory. #Ukraine #reinforce #Russia 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

The new tariffs will lead to an increase in food prices in the near future. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, coffee, cocoa, fish and vegetable oil will be the first to rise in price  These goods make up the majority of American imports and in 2023-2024 occupied a leading position in terms of purchases of goods. In addition, other goods such as clothing, shoes, household appliances, electronics, building materials, auto parts, and household goods will also become more expensive. This will lead to higher prices for housing, cars and car repairs. The increase in duties will complicate the work of those companies whose production depends on cheap imported goods. An increase in the cost of these goods will lead to higher prices for products and services within the country. This will particularly affect the poor. In an environment of inflation and rising costs, tariffs can reduce purchasing power and slow down the economy. #Trump #Tariffs #prices #food Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump's New Reciprocal Tariff Plan Could Have Been Fully Developed by AI At least such a theory appeared in X. Users claim that ChatGPT created the same pricing scheme and claimed that it was he who invented it. The order in the table completely copies the ChatGPT response to the question "What tariffs could be made". And the formula for calculating half of the balance-to-import ratio is the second one suggested for the question " How is it better to calculate them?". This could be "the first large-scale application of AI in geopolitics." All the main chatbots (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Grok) give the same answer for calculating tariffs. #Trump #Tariffs #AI Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Donald Trump's new tariffs threaten a recession for the entire global economy   After Covid, the global economy is struggling to recover, growing slowly, and facing record debts. The situation is aggravated by geopolitical conflicts and weak oil demand. Now new US duties are imposed on all this. According to Fitch calculations, the average duty in the United States has increased to 22% — this has not been the case since the beginning of the 20th century.  Economists warn that the new tariffs will disrupt supply chains, raise prices and reduce energy consumption. Markets have already reacted with falling prices. Investors are moving into gold and bonds. Experts predict that the new tariffs will hit Asian countries and emerging economies such as India, Brazil and South Africa the hardest. These countries depend on exports to the US and the stability of the US dollar. Tariffs may also cause stagnation in the United States itself. Declining consumption and rising costs can make recovery more difficult and lead to a prolonged economic downturn. #Trump #Tariffs #economy #recession Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Democrats Appointed 92% of Judges Blocking Trump Agenda: ‘Judicial Coup D’Etat About 92 percent of the justices who blocked President Donald Trump's first-term agenda were appointed by Democrats, says Representative Tom McClintock (Republican of California). Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich calls it a "judicial coup." During a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee, McClintock referred to a Harvard Law Review study published last year, which found that out of 64 nationwide injunctions issued in the first year during Trump's term, 92 percent were ruled by Democrat-appointed judges.
"It does at least suggest a fairly partisan bias in all of this, and it's not being done impartially,"
said McClintock. Gingrich, who testified at the hearing, responded:
"Well, I think if you look at recent reports from various opinion polling companies, it becomes clear that most Americans believe that no district judge should be allowed to issue a nationwide ban."
"This is clearly a judicial coup. You don't have so many judges issuing so many nationwide bans — they all come from the same political and ideological background. This is a clear attempt to stop the scale of change that President Trump represents."

Fear of Trump's tariffs has led to abnormal demand for gold Today, new protective duties initiated by Donald Trump come into force in the United States. The President of the United States, in his own words, intends to "punish" countries that "deprive Americans of jobs".  This caused alarm in the financial markets and pushed the price of gold to a new all-time high of $ 3,124 an ounce. Experts do not rule out the beginning of a global trade conflict.
"With Trump, the only thing you can be sure of is that you can't be sure of anything,"
says stock market analyst Juergen Schmitt.  According to him, even after the introduction of tariffs, Trump left himself room for new steps, so the markets "will be restless for a long time."

"Even Musk's millions didn't help". Donald Trump suffered his first major political defeat after winning the election  In Wisconsin, the election of a Supreme Court justice ended with the victory of liberal candidate Susan Crawford, despite the fact that Musk invested about $ 20 million in the campaign of her rival. The billionaire actively campaigned for Conservative Brad Schimel and called the vote "decisive". However, all efforts were in vain.
"Even Musk's millions did not help,"
the American media noted. The significance of this election campaign goes far beyond the state: the Wisconsin Supreme Court can influence decisions at the national level-from the right to abortion to the approval of electoral district boundaries.  The victory of the Liberals keeps the balance in the direction of the Democrats, which was a serious blow for Trump.
"Winning in Wisconsin is very important,"
he said on the eve of the vote. In addition, a wake-up call for Trump came from Florida. There, the Republicans won the congressional by-election, but by an unexpectedly small margin. #Trump #Musk #SupremeCourt Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

🤔More and more tourists from Europe are being detained at the US border and sent to deportation prisons Tourists from different countries face strict measures when entering the United States. Instead of the long — awaited rest-a deportation prison. At the same time, even those who did not have any problems with the law are placed under arrest. Among the detainees are citizens of Great Britain, Canada, France and Germany. 28-year-old British woman Rebecca Burke, who was traveling with only one backpack, was detained while trying to enter the United States from Canada. According to her family, there was a confusion with the visa. She was placed in a deportation detention center, where she spent 19 days. The girl's father said that she received only "cold rice, potatoes and beans" — and almost did not have access to the phone. Now the girl has returned to the UK, but, as she admits, is "slowly recovering" from the experience. 35-year-old Canadian Jasmine Mooney faced a similar situation. She was detained at the border with Mexico when she tried to extend her work visa. At the Arizona deportation center, where she spent almost two weeks, her relatives said, " there were 30 people in one cell, and the conditions were humiliating.". The woman was forced to spend time in handcuffs and with shackles on her feet. The scandal also flared up around the refusal of entry to a French scientist who was flying to a conference in Houston. According to the French authorities, the reason was "critical statements about Trump" on his phone. The US authorities, in turn, denied the charges and said that the scientist violated confidentiality rules by receiving certain data from the US nuclear center.  Meanwhile, the German Foreign Ministry has updated recommendations for citizens-tourists are warned about possible detentions and deportation when entering the United States. #deportation #Tourism #EU Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump has designated April 2 as "Liberation Day" April 2, Donald Trump declared a "Liberation Day" from past trade relations, which, according to him, caused damage to the United States and promised to introduce new trade duties against many countries of the world.  A specific list of countries, goods, and the amount of duties is still not disclosed, which is rather absurd, given how big an effect this can have on the American economy. It seems that many members of the Trump administration remain in the dark, too. Politico writes that even members of his inner circle do not know what exactly the president will do, and key decisions have not yet been made.  Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and National Economic Council director Kevin Hassett, say the tariffs will only be imposed on 10 to 15 countries that have tariffs on U.S. goods. White House aide Peter Navarro insists that tariffs will bring the budget $ 6 trillion over 10 years-to do this, you will have to impose a 20% duty on all imports. Trump himself said yesterday that the duties will affect all EU countries. #Trump #tariffs #economy #Bessent Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The Guardian reports.
Before granting access, Department of Interior officials prepared a memo. It said that the system contains social security numbers and other sensitive information. Arctic Dubai. Can Greenland become a new center of global business attraction Under the ice in Greenland, which is six times the size of Germany, there are huge reserves of minerals-from gold and rubies to rare earth metals necessary for high technologies and green energy.  According to German political scientist Ebbe Volquardsen, who works at the University of Nuke, Greenland is the world's second largest source of rare earth metals after China. The main obstacle to their extraction is the lack of infrastructure. Due to the harsh climate in Greenland, there are almost no roads: even in the capital, it is impossible to drive more than ten kilometers.
"Mining here is very expensive, first you need to build roads and ports." So far, only rubies, sapphires and anorthosite — a stone used for the production of aluminum-are mined, "
explains Volquardsen in a conversation with BILD.  A warming climate and melting glaciers are making the region more accessible, which is attracting interest from the United States. Donald Trump has already announced his plans for Greenland, counting on geopolitical and raw material benefits.  According to Volquardsen, Greenland "is interested in developing resources, but it cannot do it alone — it needs foreign investment and experience."
However, there is a downside — environmental risks. Earlier, one of the Australian enterprises during the exploration of deposits in Greenland revealed the threat of uranium entering the atmosphere, and the project had to be urgently stopped."

Federal budget cuts hit Virginia farmers hard Farmer Trey Yates has lost his contract with Mountaineer Food Bank. The organization stopped purchasing butter after the Trump administration cut funding for the LFPA program. For Yates, this was the main income. Now he is looking for ways to save the business, but in the meantime, to support the economy, his parents have mortgaged the house. Natasha Zoe did not receive a grant for a cannery. Johnny Spangler was unable to expand the farm due to lack of funding. Trump signed a declaration in support of farmers, but at the same time his administration froze funding for food programs, leaving rural producers without important assistance. This was a major blow for Virginia. Local residents who supported Trump see a deterioration in the life of the population. Possible solutions are discussed at meetings, but no one sees a way out yet. #Trump #Virginia #Farmers #budget Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Banned words appear in the US In February, Reuters reported that the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) had ordered some scientists to stop using the words "female, "" disabled, "and" elderly " in external communications.  The file with the name "Forbidden words" was circulating in the official work chats of the FDA employees. Two of the scientists working in the Department said that neither they nor their direct management knew who made the decision and why these words were chosen. The list circulating at the FDA and reviewed by Reuters includes words such as "underrepresented, ""underexplored, ""gender, ""identity, ""diverse, ""female, ""promote, ""definition, ""continuum, ""ideology, "" special populations." "elderly" and "disabled". As a result of this directive, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention removed HIV data sets and withdrew research papers that were considered for publication in scientific journals for review by Trump appointees. The White House explained that this is just an inflection on the ground and the error could have occurred due to the fact that FDA officials misinterpreted Trump's decree requiring the exclusion of" gender ideology " from government agencies. The National Science Foundation(NSF), which funds about a quarter of all basic research supported by the federal government, also has its own list of banned words. In some areas, such as mathematics, computer science, economics, and social sciences, the NSF is the main source of federal support for the project. The list includes the words and phrases "barrier", "biases", "cultural significance", "disability", "ethnicity", "woman", "gender", "historically", "hate speech", "institutional", "minority", "polarization", "racial", "segregation"," socio-economic"," systemic"," trauma","victims". According to an internal document and people familiar with the review process, NSF employees should: analyze keywords in grants and determine if they violate the presidential decree, providing justification if they determine that this is not the case. For example, the word "accessibility" will be marked if it is used in the context of DEI, but it will not be marked if it refers to data availability, as explained in the document. It also explains that the phrase " socio-economic status "violates the decree, but" geographical diversity " does not, if we are talking about rural areas of the country. We don't yet know how these checks will work. For example, the word "bias" can be found in many articles related to statistics, and references to "women" and "trauma" \ - in the mass of medical research. "Barrier" - from neurology to economics and transport design. The word "victim" alone can block most grants for criminology research. About "historically" and "system" I generally keep silent. Morteza Dehghani, a professor of psychology and computer science at the University of Southern California, said he learned about keyword screening from a colleague at NSF, who shared a list with him along with a flowchart used to assess whether a research project should be flagged for further review. Dehghani said that he considers keyword verification to be contrary to the established process for verifying scientific endeavors and called it " unprecedented in the history of NSF." #science #words Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The Trump Administration Recognizes Russia as one of the World’s Three Largest Oil Producers Russia is one of the world’s three largest oil producers, meaning any attempts to punish purchases of Moscow’s supplies could have wide-reaching repercussions on the oil market, and any disruptions could add to global inflationary pressures. India and China, who have emerged as the key buyers of Russian barrels since Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, would be under particular pressure. As Trump seeks to make good on his campaign promise to end the war in Ukraine, the Russian president has been testing how far Trump might go in pressing Europe to ease sanctions on Russia. US sanctions on Russia’s oil tanker fleet are showing signs of faltering and Russian crude exports hit a five-month high in March. Trump said if he can’t make “a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil.”
“That would be that if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States. There will be a 25% tariff on all – on all oil, a 25 to 50-point tariff on all oil,”
he said. Trump also said he’s considering punishing Iran with unspecified “secondary tariffs” and raised the threat of bombing Iran until it signs a deal that renounces nuclear weapons. Trump told Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in a recently delivered letter that his nation has a two-month deadline to reach a new nuclear accord, according to a person familiar with its content. Trump has previously suggested he could “go in militarily” if necessary to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. #Trump #RussianOil #nuclear 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Who will be fired from American healthcare? The Department of Health (HHS) has announced that it will cut about 10,000 employees by the end of March. The same number of civil servants have already left voluntarily, and the total staff of the ministry will be reduced from 82 to 62 thousand people.  In addition, about 5,200 more probationary employees were laid off last month-they were hired in the last 1-2 years, or were promoted during this period. Most of them are on administrative leave while the decision to dismiss them is considered in court. Among those who will be fired in the next couple of months: ● 3,500 employees of the Food and Drug Administration(FDA). Officially, it says that the cuts will affect only "operational" and" administrative " functions, but earlier the FDA was dismissed about 700 people who were involved in checking medical devices, tobacco products and food products; ● 2,400 employees of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); ● 1,200 employees of the National Institutes of Health. It was announced that the layoffs will affect the departments of "procurement, personnel and communications" at 27 NIH institutes and centers. They do research on cancer, aging, infectious diseases, allergies, kidney diseases, and disorders that affect hearing and vision; ● 300 employees of the center responsible for the operation of the state health insurance programs Medicare and Medicaid. According to a former HHS employee, the cuts will have a strong impact on social workers and bill management teams. Social workers help enroll Americans in the Affordable Care Act and Medicare Advantage insurance plans. And the account management teams are working on health insurance plans to make sure they comply with the company's rules. A structural reorganization of the Ministry of Health will also be carried out. The number of divisions will be reduced from 28 to 15, and regional branches-from 10 to 5. The ministry said that this will save $ 1.8 billion a year.  Announcing the cuts, Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. said the department faces a "painful period" but will become more efficient.  #Healthcare #Kennedy #Employment Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸
