Analysts say Trump is stuck between two bad options: a prolonged Middle East war or a deal with Tehran that resembles the Obama-era nuclear deal he spent a decade criticizing. "The White House appears to be playing for stalling tactics," Campbell said. But with the strait closed, economic pain "is going to get worse very quickly."
