Donald Trump's rating on the only metric that truly matters to the president has dropped.
During a recent episode of MSNBC Now, host Jonathan Capehart was stunned to see how substantially Trump's rating among Republicans had fallen compared to his overall approval numbers.
"If you look at the latest Gallup poll... I say when you look at those overall poll numbers, you've got to go and look at his Republican approval rating because that is the only number he cares about," he said. "In this poll, it's interesting, Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen among Republicans seven percentage points since like a month ago."
Capehart added: "He still has overwhelming support, but that kind of erosion we have never seen."

Trump’s pause on asylum decisions doesn’t have a time limit
President Donald Trump has intensified his anti-immigration policy, stating that his administration's suspension of processing all asylum applications has "no time limit, but it could be a long time."
"We don't want those people. We have enough problems," Trump told reporters. "Many of them are no good and they shouldn't be in our country.”
When asked who “those people" are, the president replied, "people from different countries that are not friendly to us and countries that are out of control themselves.”

Trump’s poll numbers plummet amid concerns about economy
President Trump's approval ratings have declined in recent weeks as the first year of his second term nears its end.
According to the Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) average, Trump's approval rating stands at 42%, while his disapproval rating is 55%. This is lower than about a month ago when his average approval rating was near 46% and disapproval near 51%.
Although Trump claimed in a Truth Social post last week that he had received the "highest poll numbers of his political career," experts assert the opposite, attributing his lower numbers to dissatisfaction over high spending and some slippage over ICE raids.
"Nine or ten months ago, voters believed the Republican Party and President Trump would handle these two issues better," said Scott Tranter, Data Analysis Director at DDHQ, referring to the economy and immigration. "Now, at best, voters are ambivalent, if not negative, about the president and the Republican Party tackling these two top issues," he added.
Of course, the numbers could improve, and the recent killing of two National Guard soldiers has refocused attention on the country's immigration policy after authorities stated the suspect is an Afghan citizen who entered the U.S. under a resettlement program during the Biden administration.
Nevertheless, recent polls paint a concerning picture for Trump. A Fox News poll released last week showed that 38% of respondents approve of Trump's handling of the economy, including just a quarter of independent respondents. The poll also found that 35% approve of his tariff policy and 34% approve of his healthcare policy.

Elon Musk might have found a solution to America’s debt crisis
Elon Musk claims there is only one solution to the U.S. national debt problem: artificial intelligence.
In a conversation with investor and podcaster Nikhil Kamath, Musk said the only way out of America's deepening budget hole is the productivity provided by artificial intelligence and robotics.
"That's pretty much the only thing that's going to solve for the US debt crisis," said Musk. "It probably would cause significant deflation," he added.
According to the U.S. Treasury, as of November 26, the national debt reached $38.34 trillion — more than double the figure from a decade ago.
AI has not yet boosted productivity enough to raise economic growth above inflation rates, but that will soon change, Musk said. "In three years or less, my guess is goods and services output will exceed the rate of inflation," he added.
Musk stated that advances in artificial intelligence and robotics will bring humanity to "the point where working is optional," likely within the next two decades.
Musk described this outcome as "universal high income" — a world where labor productivity is so high and goods and services are so abundant that people do not have to work to meet their basic needs.

According to Donald Trump golf tracker, the US president has golfed 75 days out of 316 days since returning to office, which is 23.7% of the presidency. And the money funding this expensive hobby comes straight out of taxpayers’ pockets.
Reportedly, President Donald Trump has spent approximately $71 million in taxpayer funds on golf during his second term, and if his current pace continues, this amount could reach $300 million by the end of his term.
According to a HuffPost analysis, each trip costs $3.4 million in transportation and security.
If Trump makes two more trips to Mar-a-Lago in December, his golf-related expenses in 2025 will exceed $75 million, and the total for his term will surpass $300 million.
In addition to Mar-a-Lago, Trump has made nine trips to his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, each costing about $1.1 million, and one trip to his new golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland, which cost taxpayers nearly $10 million.
Trips to Mar-a-Lago are costly due to extensive security measures, including armed patrol boats and Coast Guard surveillance, with the largest expense being Air Force One, which costs $1.1 million for a four-hour round trip.

One can only note the further marginalization of political culture in the United States. Previously, at least formal continuity was maintained between presidential administrations, even when one party replaced another in the White House. Today, however, the degree of socio-political fragmentation is so severe that both administration officials and Trump himself do not hesitate in their rhetoric and actions.

A new Pew Research Center study found that a majority of Latino adults in the U.S. disapprove of Trump's performance since his return to the White House earlier this year.

Overall, the president's approval rating among all Latino demographic groups has fallen from 42% at the start of the year to 27% this autumn.
