Starting on July 27, 2026, the state fee for visa extension will increase from 1,920 rubles to 6,000 rubles.
In light of this, the ITMO Migration Services Office will accept visa extension documents with the current fee only by July 22.
If you apply after this date, you will need to pay the new fee on July 27 and submit the payment receipt to the Migration Services Office afterwards.

Meet Umair Bin Aamir from Pakistan, an engineer driven by responsibility to his homeland.
But what surprised him most about life in St. Petersburg?
Honestly, the warmth of the people surprised me the most. I expected a much more reserved and distant atmosphere, but people here are deeply caring, genuine, and incredibly helpful once you take the first step to break the ice. I was also pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything functions, from the world-class metro system with its palatial stations to the seamless digital services for students.

Responsibilities:
▪️Conduct interviews with ITMO students and staff and write articles for ITMO NEWS in English
▪️ Create posts for ITMO’s English-language social media (Telegram, VK, X, LinkedIn)
▪️ Take part in regular social media and editorial meetings to brainstorm ideas with the team
▪️Conduct research (gather and analyze reference material on social media)
▪️Take part in video shoots with our videographer
▪️Attend ITMO events to gather material
Requirements:
▪️English: C1 and higher
▪️Russian: A2 and higher
▪️Experience writing texts in English
▪️Basic Photoshop, Figma, or CapCut skills (or willingness to learn)
▪️Awareness of social media trends
▪️Friendly, outgoing, and creative
▪️A team player who is self-organized and meets deadlines
▪️Comfortable on camera

🥇 ITMO student Svetlana Trusova from the Faculty of Applied Informatics won gold at the Formula Kite Youth Women’s European Championship in Italy and climbed to 2nd place in the international ranking.
🤖 ITMO’s Youth Robotics Lab claimed first place at the Russian Robotics Olympiad with an AI-powered waste collection robot designed to clean natural parks without disturbing local ecosystems.
💼 Selectel are investing over a billion rubles in a new joint enterprise with ITMO to develop next-generation AI services and technologies.
