Dear Colleagues, I am contacting you to share an opportunity to participate in a “Preparing Future Faculty Virtual Workshop,” which is designed for Ph.D. students and postdocs interested in pursuing academic careers in STEM fields. This program is open to anyone interested in a future faculty position; those who are going on the academic job market in 2022/2023 might find it of particular value. The workshop will be spread out virtually over several sessions (See the attached flyer for information). This is a free event. As you can see in the flyer, the workshop will include sessions on how to obtain a faculty position (hiring process, preparing documents, interviewing, negotiating) and how to be successful in beginning an academic career (articulating research, prioritizing activities, work-life balance).
