Look at how the Kurds were attacked by Turkish mercenaries and settlers in Sere Kaniye… The young man’s face was covered in blood, and they did not stop there. They humiliated him by stepping on his head and taking pictures. The terrorist Damascus government and the Turkish mercenaries have neither honor nor commitment to any agreement or covenant; both are built on terrorism and sectarianism.

Tribes linked to the Syrian Government - here the Aqeedat tribe has begun to send armed militiamen from Deirezzor to Hassakeh (city)

After the attack by the settlers and Turkish mercenaries in Serekaniye, and their assault on the convoy of displaced Kurds who had returned to Serekaniye—beating them, damaging their belongings, and opening fire on them—the Kurdish people in Qamishli and Hasakah held sit-ins in front of the General Security offices affiliated with the Damascus government. A member of the General Security forces filmed the protesters and insulted the Kurdish people and their symbols, demonstrating the terrorist mindset of the Damascus authorities. #Damascus_terrorist_government #DefendKurds

Turkey’s mercenaries are spreading lies and claiming that the Kurds took down the Syrian flag, with the aim of fueling conflict between the different communities and diverting attention from the attacks, extremism, and terrorism that the Kurds are being subjected to. This claim is completely false and untrue. The people who took down the flag were the General Security forces themselves, who were present at their headquarters. #StopTurkishTerrorism #DefendKurds

Mazloum Abdi: We condemn the assault to which the displaced Kurdish families were subjected during their return to Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain), which was carried out in coordination with the Syrian state. We understand the angry reactions in the Kurdish street in response to this assault, and at the same time, we call on our people to exercise self-restraint, refrain from being drawn into any irresponsible acts, and preserve our civil and security institutions. We affirm that we are working in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure the protection of the returning displaced civilians and to hold accountable anyone proven to be involved in the assault acts, in a manner that guarantees everyone's rights and maintains the security and stability of the region.

The residents of Amuda also took to the streets. The people of Amuda are staging a protest against armed attacks carried out by the families of gang members targeting the people returning to Serekaniye today.

The Syrian media sphere has started their campaign - as predicted, efforts are being made to fuel sectarian tensions and justify further violence by tying the events to *the PKK* *Seperatists* *Revolutionary Youth* etc. Syrian government affiliated militia men are attacking and looting vehicles of Kurdish IDPs - filming their attack with GoPros with many wearing uniforms of the Syrian Government military - they do not comment on that, instead they are channeling their efforts into justifying the attacks and further attacks against Kurds. A protest is not a retaliatory action - lowering a flag will not justify further attacks against Kurds. Residents who are angry at seeing Syrian militiamen attacking IDPs are not “Pro SDF”

When the government fails to protect their citizens and protects the attackers, residents become angry - it creates instability. Hours after the barbaric attacks carried out by militants affiliated with the Syrian Government against Kurdish IDPs who attempted to return to their homes of which they were displaced in 2019 by Turkey and the SNA, the latter of which has become part of the Syrian Government - residents are protesting in front of the Public Security headquarter as well as the city Center in Serekaniye (Ras al Ain) - the protestors are throwing stones and have taken down the Syrian flag as a form of protest. In the hours to come, the settlers in Serekaniye will use this protest as a form of justification to further carry out sectarian attacks against the Kurdish people. All of this could’ve been avoided if the Syrian government would’ve actually disarmed their militias - if the convoys of IDPs would’ve been properly protected by the STG. Instead, Syria continues to rush developments in its efforts to secure *achievements* to keep the general population pacified. Now we are looking at unfolding events, a chain reaction, of sectarian tensions and violence. The attacks this morning were purely sectarian, driven by pure hate for the Kurdish people - Syria can no longer claim that it’s actions are directed at the *seperatists* *PKK* *Qandil* or whatever - terms they used to masquerade and justify their sectarian hatred towards the Kurdish people. The attacks were purely directed at the Kurds.

🚨 #Urgent | #SereKaniye Residents of Serê Kaniyê are attacking the General Security Center in protest against its failure to protect the displaced Kurdish families returning to the city. And the Syrian flag was taken down from the General Security building in Hasakah, expressing their anger and rejection of what happened. #Rojava

Residents of the city of Ras al-Ain (Serêkaniyê) in the Hasakah governorate took to the streets in response to attacks by the families of gang members. They stormed the building housing forces loyal to the Damascus government. Slogans of "Long live the resistance of Afrin" were chanted.

“All weapons must be under the control of the Syrian Government” is what Jolani said to the Kurdish people. His own thugs however, kept their weapons and they are using their weapons not for self defence but to destroy and loot convoys of Kurdish IDPs who are returning to their homes.

The usual pattern with the Syrian Government - they announced that the families which they themselves have displaced will be allowed to return to Serekaniye (Ras al Ain) and glorified themselves for it. On its first day of implementation however, their own forces started to attack and loot the convoys - even before the convoys reached their destinations. The attackers are all settlers from Deirezzor, Hassakeh and Idlib - all settlers moved there in coordination with Turkey; after Turkey and the SNA factions invaded the region in 2019 and displaced the original inhabitants. The Syrian Government yet again failed. Not only have they not disarmed the armed factions there after proclaiming that every weapon must be in the hands of the State - they have also failed to build the security mechanism to protect the displaced original inhabitants as Serekaniye as they attempt to return to their homes.

A group of Arab settlers in the city of #SereKaniye assaulted residents returning to the city and smashed one of the vehicles in an attempt to obstruct the return process.

The areas where deployments have been made in this framework are as follows: the Taym oil field, the Kebajeb area (near the Al-Nur Mosque), and the buffer zone located 90–115 km from the Iraqi border.Meanwhile, the narrative that “the Turks have started stealing the oil” is spreading among the local population.

🧵EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION The Turkish army has accelerated its previously planned deployment to Deir ez-Zor. In this context, the army has sped up preparations to establish a new military base in the Mayadin district of Deir ez-Zor, near the Al-Rehbaa castle. This military base, which is regarded as part of Turkey’s new strategic expansion along the Euphrates line, already has 50 Turkish soldiers, radar and reconnaissance equipment, and military vehicles deployed. Following the opening of dam gates in Turkey, many canals built on the Euphrates River overflowed, causing a large part of Deir ez-Zor to be flooded. Taking advantage of this situation, Turkey entered the region under the guise of IHH aid. Now, large quantities of electrical and electronic equipment have been sent to the area in order to take control of all the oil fields in the region.

People are revolting in areas controlled by the interim Damascus government! In Raqqa, people have resumed protests against rising fuel prices and poor living conditions.

Turkish forces withdrew on Sunday from Julbur village in Afrin countryside, northwestern Syria, after more than eight years of control, during which the village was used as a military base and residents were prevented from returning to their homes. Following the withdrawal, vehicles belonging to the Internal Security Forces of Syria’s transitional government entered the village and began search and inspection operations to detect mines and unexploded remnants of war and assess the safety of the area. Julbur has more than 110 homes, many of which were damaged or destroyed during years of shelling and military operations. The village had become a frontline area and was repeatedly shelled, causing extensive damage to residential buildings and private property.

Footages of the first return convoy of more than 400 Kurdish IDP families from SereKaniye (RasAl_Ain) is preparing to leave Washokani camp in Hasakah, northeastern Syria, for the city and surrounding villages after seven years of displacement.
