Devil’s in the details. Also, motion submitted to change the name of butterfly guard, which everyone can agree is pretty lame sounding, to “Death’s Head Hawkmoth guard.” Or, for the Danaher types out there who want to keep it trad, “Acherontia Atropos Custodia.” It just seems easier.

Last full week of training before the war party heads to Florida for Pans 23

Night one of a two-night private seminar with legendary world champion Helio Soneca. I won’t bore you with a list of his accomplishments, but if you train and aren’t aware of who he is, definitely worth looking up. Suffice it to say he’s played an influential role in the development of Jiu-Jitsu here in America. Watched his recent match with fellow legend Megaton Dias tonight as I ate dinner following the nearly 3 hours of instruction during the seminar. An exciting Jiu-Jitsu player, amazing coach and quite a character to be around. Thankful for this level of instruction.
