This illusion is necessary for the proper functioning of society - This is what keeps the masses docile and working as hard as they can, such that they have a fair chance at life. If you go on telling people about the unfairness and truth of reality, the moral fabric that upholds society will disintegrate.

Rich people or people with the propensity to get rich are disagreeable, which an euphemism for self-interest. Rich people are more likely to engage in cheating, lying, unethical or amoral behavior to advance their gains. The result of it was one player got exponentially rich, while the other stayed poor. It was documented that the person who got richer had subtle behavior changes - He became more selfish, more amoral, more confident body langauge. Conversely, if a person adapts these behaviors their chances at attaining success increase. Integrating more confident, selfish and selective disagreeableness in your behavior can put you closer to success.

One more thing that should be noted is that humans often falsify their preferences in order to maintain group harmony. In the above example 4 of us falsified our preference, maybe we wanted to have drinks & cigars, or maybe someone wanted to refuse. Since no one person of four of us is stating his true belief, the three other, individually assume that everyone else agrees with the intolerant. This leads to an echo-chamber, which induces group consensus, where every other person believes they are misfit while everyone else agrees. This leads to most people complying with the minority.

This woke idiocy would stop if enough rightwingers and sane lefties became intolerant. Political wars aren’t won through debate and they negotiation, like every war they are won through force.

Criticizing an individual, doesn’t matter the nature of intentions; will always backfire on you. For the person in question will consider; even honest judgements as personal attacks: They will begin to resent you and eventually blame the fault on you by justifying themselves.
