💘 # lil success story to share Back in December, I applied to the US-CAEF program, which had just reopened after a two-year hiatus. The results were supposed to be announced in mid-June, so today's email from the US-CAEF team was completely unexpected. They mentioned they had an urgent question regarding my application and invited me to join a Zoom call. When I entered the call, there were about 25 people present. One of the team members from US-CAEF started explaining an intricate document we were supposed to complete quickly. As he was going through the details, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Then, he shared another document on the screen, which read: "This was a joke. You are US-CAEF finalists!" I felt a rush of joy and excitement, reminiscent of the time I found out I had won the FLEX program. To be one of only 18 finalists from five Central Asian countries (3.4% acceptance rate) who received fully funded scholarships is an incredible honor.
