I hope everyone is getting outside today, weather permitting 🌞🌻, even if it's only for half an hour. More is preferable, of course 😊. Get your bare feet on the healing Earth and be grateful for the vast beauty all around you 💜✝️💜. I can't believe it, but when my holiday starts on the 10th, it's supposed to be 80 degrees...!

There's a lot of chatter about magnesium today, and rightfully so. Magnesium (Mg) is critical for hundreds of enzymatic actions in the body, with a great majority of these being related to ❤️ function and energy production. Kind of a big deal! 😊 Many folks are magnesium deficient and will have symptoms such as muscle spasms, nerve pain, elevated blood pressure, kidney stones and even a heart attack 😳. Mg relaxes both smooth and skeletal muscle. It increases calcium solubility which means it can prevent kidney stones, as well as calcification of vasculature and soft tissues. Mg must be in balance with not only calcium, but also phosphorus, potassium and chloride to function normally in the temple. Dark green veggies, nuts and seeds, avocados and seafood are good Mg sources. Refined and procesed food is mostly devoid of Mg, and both oxalic and phytates can block its absorption. Like all nutrients, the key is to optimize digestion so that we are absorbing them and not ending up with pricey potty 💲💩😳!

I've had a couple of folks message me about the lymphatic system so I thought I'd write a brief post about this very important mechanism God placed in your temple. First of all, what is lymph? 🤔 Lymph is a clear fluid that comes from blood plasma that exits blood vessels at capillary beds. It contains white blood cells which are appropriately named lymphocytes. These cells grow within the blood and bone marrow and are then housed in lymph nodes. Most of us are familiar with where these nodes are because we've felt them: neck, armpits, chest, abdomen and groin. They become enlarged when we have an infection or dis-ease. Many of us first experienced painful, swollen glands when we had an infection like strep throat. Within these nodes, lymph is filtered and anything nefarious is trapped and attacked by the lymphocytes. The biggest task at hand for lymph nodes is fighting cancer, bacteria and for some, mycotoxins 😫. (These nodes do not deal with toxicity directly, as that's taken on by the liver and kidneys.) The lymphatic system as a whole is made up of capillaries, vessels, nodes and other organs, all of which transport lymph from tissues as it returns to the bloodstream. In a nutshell, the lymphatic system can be described as the temple's sanitation system: waste is collected in the nodes and delivered to specific organs to be eliminated. Some symptoms of a sluggish lymphatic system include, but are not limited to, the following: ●Mottled appearance to the skin ●Cellulite ●Skin rash ●Swollen or chronically hard lymph nodes ●Winded after movement ●Swelling of legs, feet and/or arms ●Headache ●Congested ears ●Achy groin ●Racing pulse after eating ●Doughy abdomen ●Frequent infections For some folks, symptoms can be relieved with lymphatic massage, but for others, deeper work is recommended. I don't mean deeper massage, but deeper healing for the temple overall. Outside of lymphatic massage, staying hydrated, peeing, moving the temple, pottying daily and sweating are great ways to nurture this hardworking system. Wait for it... Yeah, you got it: I'm mentioning mycotoxins AGAIN. And because this is where these awful critters land, it is VERY impactful to overall health. Even though a healthy lymph system works effectively and efficiently to clear various bad guys, mycos (due to their vast numbers) overwhelm this system which is no bueno. Check for mycotoxins if you have had mold exposure or any of the symptoms I have mentioned in previous posts. Keep in mind that mycos hold back healing on virtually every level. One can see from the myco chart I posted a few days ago that numerous systems can be affected, not just the lymphatic. Please take care of your temple. How it was made and how it works will never cease to amaze me. ♥️♥️♥️

Great visual 💜✝️💜✝️. Happy Saturday to everyone! It's going to be a balmy 67 today so I'll be taking advantage of the weather and playing in the greenhouse. We've had freezing temps every morning this week 🤪, so 67 is going to be luxurious.

I have been making this salad forever it seems. It's very versatile which is helpful. Sometimes I use black beans, other times another bean. I truly don't think it matters. You can even leave them out. I also throw in a variety of vegetables versus what is listed. Basically whatever is in the frig and sounds good. The ingredients that is always consistent is the chipotle. We can our own every Fall and because they are so delish, they disappear pretty quickly. I'm certain you can find some that aren't toxic in a decent store. I've seen them at Natural Grocers and similar places. I suppose a different vinegar would be fine, but I usually use what is listed. I replace the soy with an organic tamari. I rarely use tamari, not even when I eat sushi, so I feel fine doing this. It can be omitted, although I can't attest to the taste without it. It's a good salad to add what you want-options abound❤️❤️. Black Bean Quinoa Salad https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/black-bean-and-quinoa-salad
