MORNING PRAYERS ZACHARIAH 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened. INSPIRATIONS Here and in verse 16 just before, we see God giving Israel over to the rule of a careless shepherd (king). This shepherd would do them harm and not good. They had rejected Jehovah-God as their Shepherd-king, and now they were given another shepherd whom they would chafe under. PRAYERS O Jehovah, my Shepherd, You are the Good Shepherd whoever cares for His sheep. Help me to follow and trust You not only in the green pastures but also through the valley of the shadow of death. No other shepherd can compare to You, Lord, and we Your sheep flee from the voice of strangers, for we know only the voice of our true Shepherd. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PSALM 11:7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright. INSPIRATIONS God is utterly righteous. He loves righteousness and hates iniquity. His face shines approvingly on those who walk uprightly, but he is angry with the wicked every day. (Psalm 7:11) It is impossible to please God while being unrighteous, both as to outward conduct and the character of one's soul. PRAYERS O Righteous Father, all of Your decisions and all of Your actions are just. You, Lord, love righteousness and demand it in us. But we are unrighteous by birth; we were conceived and born fallen creatures. We are Your children, wearing the righteousness of Your Son. Help us to live righteously before You and do those things that please You. Amen. WELCOME TO JUNE, HAPPY NEW MONTH

Amen

MORNING PRAYERS PROVERB 10: 6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. INSPIRATIONS The wicked are often known by their speech. Though they can hide what is in their heart and speak to cover it up, at some point inevitably, of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The wicked are violent against God, His truth, and His people; they rage about looking for some person on whom to vent their anger against God. PRAYERS O Lord, You have poured down untold blessings of grace upon the head of Your people, but the world is hostile to You, Your Word, and Your children. We walk like Daniel among lions, but You can shut the mouths of the lions. We shine as lights in a pitch-black night, but the darkness cannot overcome the light. We will not fear man, for if God is for us, who can prevail against us? Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS GENESIS 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. INSPIRATIONS We may hear of many creative, and today of one particular perverse, ideas of the meaning of the rainbow. But God tells us here that its true meaning is a token of His promise not to destroy the world again by a flood as He did in the days of Noah. A judgment on the earth by fire, however, shall come. (2 Peter 3:10) PRAYERS How fearful are Your judgments, O God! None can escape Your justice by fleeing or hiding or by argument. You judged the world once with a flood, and again a judgment by fire will come. Your judgments are just, O Lord! We pray for those who do not know You, that they may run to their only hope, even to Your Son Jesus Christ, before it is too late for them. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PHILLIPIANS 2:15 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; INSPIRATIONS Do you want to live differently than those who do not follow God? Stop grumbling! As believers, we are told to avoid grumbling and arguing in everything – instead, we should do all things as unto Christ. If you take a look around, you will hear a lot of people grumbling and complaining. Imagine how different you will look if you replace the constant complaining with joyful thanksgiving – you will shine like the stars in the sky. PRAYERS Dear God, I know I have grumbled and complained about my circumstances, and I know I have argued with others. Help me to change my attitude today. Help me to have an attitude of gratitude so I may be seen as blameless and pure in Your eyes. May I live my life so that I may bring Your glory and draw others to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

MORNING PRAYERS ACTS 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. INSPIRATIONS Worship, not false idols! It may seem perhaps as one of the more antiquated commandments, being as it was passed down in Moses' time when many tribes worshipped their own and before our Lord God truly revealed himself to them. But false idols still exist today, those in the ministries who seek fame overspreading the truth, or those in our popular culture who in arrogance proclaim themselves larger than life with their legions of followers. These are not our true gods, and our focus and adoration centred on them only serve to take away the love that could be given to Him, our Lord. PRAYERS My Lord God, make me a humble servant and adherent to the commandments set out by thee. Blind my eyes and deafen me to the sight and sounds of false idols, who parade as fraudulent messiahs. Turn my eyes and ears instead only to Your message Lord, and Your beautiful light. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PROVERB 14:21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. INSPIRATIONS Grudges, or carrying ill will towards others, are an anathema to all true believers. Perhaps the aptest quotation on the matter that sums this up is "grudges are like swallowing poison and hoping your enemy dies from it." For harboring such feelings towards one's neighbors, one ultimately only injures oneself in the long term, and it would be better rather, in following in Christ's example to pray for forgiveness or turn the other cheek towards one's enemies. In this way, we show true courage and compassion in a manner that pleases the Lord. PRAYERS Lord God, I pray for the strength in the face of adversities. Let me not begrudge or despise my neighbors for any wrongs they may have committed, but help me forgive them and show compassion. For I know he who shows mercy is one who pleases you, my Lord, for you are our most loving of Fathers. Let me forget past transgressions and help me heal, Lord. For You are my guide in all things, Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS 2ND CORINTHIANS 12:9 And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me. INSPIRATIONS Humbleness in the eyes of the Lord is a good thing. Boasting in any case is often very close to actual lying, as one tendency in boasting is to exaggerate its subject until it begins to fail to even resemble its original version of events. Jesus trusted disciples of humble nature to initially reveal Himself to, whilst He chose the poor and wretched of the earth who had nothing to boast about to heal, wash, and teach. His humble children are His best, for they also regard themselves as not higher than others, but know that stood before God we are all equally His children. PRAYERS Dear God, who art in Heaven, thank you for the gifts and grace shone upon all Your children. Grant the faithful - if they truly hear You call, the ability to be humble in all they do. For I know myself that all that I have and have achieved have been through Your divine hand and grace; and all I will ever continue to do is permitted only through Your love and will. Keep me thus, as a servant equal with all others, within Your breast and embrace. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS LUKE 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name *JESUS* .He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. INSPIRATIONS Talk about pressure! Mary was a virgin and having an unplanned son and has to explain her pregnancy to a husband who would have to believe this fantastic tale. On top of that, he is God incarnate and will rule the Kingdom of David forever! We know how this story goes and are forever indebted to Mary and Joseph for handling this tremendous responsibility with such grace and care. God chose them for a reason, and we can all rejoice that He chose them! PRAYERS It is better to say nothing than to open our mouths and sin with our words. The more we talk, the more likely we are to say something amiss. The tongue is often the instrument of sin. Better to let our words be few, or to think before we speak. Better to weigh our thoughts before we make them spoken words. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS JOHN 10 :7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. INSPIRATIONS Sheep occur frequently in Biblical references as it is represented for many at the time a familiar and relatable image of an animal which had great significance for many households, tied intimately to their income and survival. They were precious extensions to one's family. Whilst the profession of a shepherd is not seen much today, it still serves nevertheless as an apt metaphor for the followers of the Lord, who rely on his grace and compassion within the wilderness. Wolves, as in the above passage in relation to thieves, were constant threats to the flock, stealing away what they could. As the famous parable of the lost sheep perhaps best illustrates, a good shepherd will stop at nothing to retrieve a member of their flock, for each is as precious as the others. This is perhaps most significant what John means; if we are lost, we may be redeemed. Thus, we may live life more abundantly, knowing that our saviour will not abandon us. A life without God, however, of straying willingly towards ignorance, grants us only impoverishment, of isolation and fear. PRAYERS In Jesus' name, I pray, for He is my shepherd and the light within the barren wilderness. Lead me to Your pastures freely, where I may be safe under Your salvation, and happy in the knowledge that should I stray, my saviour will find me. Grant me thus, Lord, a life of abundance. Abundant in Your love for the fellowship of the faithful. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PSALM 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. INSPIRATIONS "None upon earth that I desire beside thee." Oh, if only it were this easy! The sins of this world are so tempting, but as explained later in this Psalm, "flesh and heart faileth." The temptations of earth are fleeting and finite, but seek God's love and it will be infinite. PRAYERS I shall love ye forever and ever O Lord! Hark! The angels in heaven sing Your praises and people of earth shall do the same. I am but one meek voice, but united with Your strength I know that anything is possible, my all-powerful and knowing God! Bless this day and all of my days on the earth so that I may help others to know You and know You better upon my judgment day, Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS ROMANS 8:36 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. INSPIRATIONS Christ is always with us. There is no trial or tribulation that will take His love away. These verses are a great reminder for us when we face challenges. How can we fail with the infinite love of Jesus with us at all times? We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Now start to live like it! PRAYERS I am weak, my Lord. I have doubted Your love of me. My faith has wavered during difficult trials and obstacles, but You never left me. I thank you with all my heart for always being by my side, even though I do not deserve it. As with Jesus, I want to be so much more than a conqueror with You by my side, with the unwavering love of Jesus as my guide. I aim to serve You and it is in Your son's holy name I pray. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS GALATIANS 5:6 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. INSPIRATIONS I would love to be on a beach eating a steak right now. I would love to fly in private jets and be a powerful leader. I would love to live forever and never be judged for my actions on earth. Wouldn't you? These temptations are so difficult to resist, but so meaningless in the grand scheme of things: resist them, learn, spread love, and leave everything else to God. PRAYERS To the one true God, I thank you for giving me the abilities to think, feel, and love. I will do all that I can to live by the Holy Spirit and let the Spirit flow through me and unto others. I pray that You aid me in times when I am weak, giving into the secular pleasures that this world offers. Through faithful practice and with Your love, I know that all things are possible, my Lord. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS MICAH 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? INSPIRATIONS Does God ask too much of us? At times, it may seem impossible to live the way that He wants us to, but is it really so difficult to love our neighbours? To act justly? To be humble? Stop and think about which one is actually more difficult: living as God intends, with faith, mercy, love, or a life without them. PRAYERS Forgive me, O Lord, for not always living in a way that is meaningful in Your eyes. Help us to walk humbly by your side, pick us up when we fall, and do the same to others on their journey. I will live as You command and leave everything else to You, my God. I ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS MATHEW 1:23 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. INSPIRATIONS The birth of Christ had been prophesied in the book of Isaiah. This was long before the angel came to Mary and Joseph. This is one of the many examples in the Bible that confirm God's faithfulness when it comes to fulfilling the promises He makes. The greatest promise, of His Son, Jesus Christ, was fulfilled. We have all the evidence about this. How can we doubt God after being exposed to such great faithfulness? PRAYERS Dear God, I am grateful for Your Word, the Bible, which is filled with so many examples of Your faithfulness. The greatest example being in the fulfilled promise of the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Your son, Jesus Christ. Lord, I am comforted in knowing that You, my Father, are faithful in all You say, and perfect in all Your ways. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS 2ND. CORINTHIANS 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. INSPIRATIONS When we go through trials and tribulations, the comfort that we receive from God isn't just for us alone. After enduring tough situations, we are able to testify God's goodness in such moments, and in those moments, we are able to reach out and encourage those who go through trials similar to us. God's comfort overflows in us and pours out onto those that we have an opportunity to lead and counsel. PRAYERS Dear God, I am grateful for Your mercies and Your comfort that keep me going in times of great trials and tribulations. I know that Your comfort won't just minister to me but to everyone else I come into contact with, who may be experiencing a situation I have overcome. I thank you, Lord, that in such times I will be able to reach out to them and minister effectively. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PSALM 34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. INSPIRATIONS Those who look to God and seek refuge in Him will always have peace and be at rest. When others are looking crestfallen and hopeless, the people who look to God will look different. It's in these times that people often come to Christians and ask them why they look so happy, and this always presents a perfect opportunity to evangelize. PRAYERS Dear God, I know that when I look at You, in good and bad times, all will be well with my soul. Lord, I pray that in such times, may I be full of joy and may those around me notice so that I will be able to speak to them of the assurance I have in You. I pray that this will compel those who are not saved, to seek You, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

MORNING PRAYERS PSALM 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. INSPIRATIONS As Christians, we don't need to worry about the people who oppose us. Even if we have enemies, we should ensure that we are enemies to none, with the love in our hearts. God has got us so covered that He will prosper us in the presence of our enemies. We don't need to pray for fire to consume them – they are people too. All we need to continue doing is pray for them and hope that they come around and embrace God's love, too. PRAYERS Dear God, I'd like to take this time out to pray for anyone who sees themselves as my enemies. Father, I do not desire that they perish but rather they come into the knowledge of You. I pray that they get to experience Your love and Your goodness, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
