Officially can say that Ukraine’s shortage of ground based AA is as of today very very real. The Kiev air defense net which was at one point in the war probably the heaviest on earth is basically all gone to front to attempt to prevent more Fab 500 glide strikes where it will be heavily attrited and is also not sufficient to cover the whole front. It probably been parted out with the bulk sent to Kharkiv where Fab strikes have definitely slowed down but not stopped. Today at least 6 slow subsonic missiles (roughly equivalent to American Tomahawks) struck Kiev city power facilities. Slow missiles like these are easily handled by intact air defense nets. It’s what they used train on for live fire training, it’s much easier than intercepting aircraft. Generally strikes at Kiev and deeper into West Ukraine required much faster missiles and in greater numbers to ensure hits. Months ago Ukraine was demanding more patriot systems and doesn’t seem to have received them. The war has once again come to Kiev.
