*Fasting on the day of 'Arafa and Ashura* Abu Qatada reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالسَّنَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهُ وَصِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ "I seek from Allah that fasting on the day of 'Arafa may atone for the sins of the preceding and the coming year, and I seek from Allah that fasting on the day of Ashura may atone for the sins of the preceding year." [ Sahih Muslim 1162] ________ *Puasa 'Arafah & 'Asyura'* Abu Qotada meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda: "Aku memohon kepada Allah agar puasa pada hari Arafah dapat menghapuskan dosa-dosa tahun sebelumnya dan tahun yang akan datang, dan aku memohon kepada Allah agar puasa pada hari Asyura dapat menghapuskan dosa-dosa tahun sebelumnya."
