📝MORNING REPORT - 13.12.24📝 Civilians in Manbij report looting, theft, violence and intimidation by the SNA in the city, with DAANES employees particularly targeted. Street protests occurred in the city center against widespread theft and looting by SNA militiamen. The DAANES announce they will also raise the Syrian independence flag in all DAANES institutions, "affirming the unity of Syria". In Raqqa, a person opened fire on crowds celebrating the raising of the Syrian independence flag, injuring 43 people. Protests in Minbic against Turkish occupation - self-administration raises flag of Syrian revolution In the canton of Minbic, a fragile ceasefire is in place following intense fighting between SDF & the Turkish-backed SNA. In the morning, fierce fighting broke out again around the Tischrin Dam. Turkish drones are also said to have been used in the fighting. Local sources report protests against the Turkish occupation & its militias in the city. In recent days, there have been increasing reports of executions & looting in the regions where the SNA has taken control. Fighters have also repeatedly appeared with the flag of the so-called Islamic State. At the same time, the self-administration (DAANES) strengthened its position for negotiations & a democratization of the whole of Syria. The self-administration announced that it would hoist the new flag of the Syrian Republic above all its institutions. Meanwhile, transitional government was formed in Damascus by HTS, which is to remain in office until March.

On 27 November, Islamist-Jihadist groups launched an offensive on Aleppo. On 8 December, the Assad government was overthrown. These Turkish backed forces aim to overrun and destroy the Kurdish and multi-ethnic DAANES. The bridge was generally cleared of gangs, more than 100 mercenaries were killed and a number of their cars were destroyed. After the defeat they deployed new forces in the evening hours. The bridge is of strategical relevance since its connecting Minbic with the Euphrates region of the DAANES ➡️ Despite heavy attacks on the city of Kobanê for the last days, hundred of people gathered to bury 10 SDF fighters that fell in the recent battles with the SNA. ➡️ Three Arabic women activists have been killed in Turkeys attack on Minbic, showing again that they are hostile to all women and people ➡️ RiseUp4Rojava International Action Days have been announced for the 14.12. to mobilize against Turkey's attacks Turkey uses HTS as a proxy force to attack Rojava. Statement by Commander-in-chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazlum Abdi on Manbij ‘As our fighters in the city of Manbij continue their resistance to halt the expansion of attacks west of the Euphrates, we have reached a ceasefire agreement in Manbij through U.S. mediation to ensure the safety and security of civilians. The fighters of the Manbij Military Council, who have been resisting the attacks since November 27, will withdraw from the area as soon as possible. Our goal is to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire across all Syrian territories and initiate a political process for the future of the country.’

Israel is bombing military bases that have been left behind by the Syrian regime ➡️ Israeli fighter jets have already bombed bases of military and secret service that have been left behind by the Syrian regime close to Damascus. ➡️ Now they air striking similar targets also in Qamişlo, in North-East Syria ➡️ Local sources claim that they destroy weaponry and sensitive intelligence material to prevent it from falling in the hands of other forces

Turkey keeps bombing civilians after SDF repelled SNA attacks ➡️ Heavy clashes in Minbic between the SDF and the Turkey-led SNA. To our People in North and Eastern Syria and Public Opinion For several days, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have intensified their attacks on our regions and cities. Over the past four days, these attacks have escalated significantly, with mercenaries launching large-scale attacks using substantial numbers and advanced weaponry, including UAVs provided by the Turkish occupation state. More than ten Akinji UAVs have actively participated in these attacks, which are being led and directed by Turkish military commanders. Four days ago, the fighters of the Manbij Military Council successfully repelled the brutal attacks of the Turkish occupation state's mercenaries, dealing strong blows to them. In response to these large-scale attacks, our forces have transitioned to the second phase of our defense strategy against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. We will employ diverse tactics and methods to disorient the enemy and make him ultimately regret initiating these attacks on our territories. We the forces of Manbij Military Council are determined to hold the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries accountable for their actions against the city of Manbij.
