Hello sir, I took a course for the BEL PO CBT 1 exam and cleared it with 71/125 marks (47.77/85 under EWS category). My interview was on February 27, 2026, in Bengaluru, lasting from about 4:55 PM to 5:20 PM. They asked mostly questions from TOM (Theory of Machines) and manufacturing: 1. Define moment of inertia. 2. Difference between automatic and manual gears in a 4-wheeler. 3. Define shot blasting. 4. In the drawing section, a cylinder was cut by some plane—draw the view in 3rd angle projection. 5. Draw a fillet with dimensions, and show the representation of a fillet weld symbol in drawing (assume dimensions). 6. Difference between fillet weld and butt weld. 7. List manufacturing processes. 8. List processes used to examine defects in welding. 9. List NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods. a.What is manual testing? b. What is liquid penetrant test? c. What is magnetic particle test? d. What chemicals are used in liquid penetrant test? 10. How does the automatic gear system work in automatic cars? 11. Some information about your family (father, mother, sister). 12. In reverse gear, we can't go at high speed like in 4th gear. 13. Can we use 6 gears in a 4-wheeler? 14. Why can't we weld aluminum and steel? (If we need to weld them, which process should we use?) Explain the process for welding aluminum and steel. No questions on self-introduction, BEL website, final year project, or HR topics. The interviewer checked my final OD and noted that TOM was missing from my college syllabus. They mainly focused on TOM questions.
