Farmers and Growers have come under increasing pressure in recent months and years, and it doesn’t look like the powers that be have any intention of releasing that pressure any time soon. It’s down to us! Many food producers will lose their businesses over the coming months as it is no longer financially viable for them to stay within the industry.
Support farmers and buy local, produce your own food, set up a food hub. It’s time for us to forge local connections and bring back some of the old ways 💚

In the middle of the year, there is less sowing in the ground but there are still some plants that can be planted in July. Here are some of the best plants to grow in July: ☀️
It is the last month to get some quick growing french beans and radishes in the ground.
Foxgloves can be sown for next spring.
Make sure you get the last of the young plants outside (courgette, squash).
Lettuce and other salad leaves are a quick and easy crop.🥬
July is also a good time to get winter cabbages down.
