It is true that it is more difficult for many students to acquire knowledge in further education compared to school. This can be attributed to the complex nature of disciplines and broader social life at universities and colleges. I think tailored programs and counseling from a social adviser can help students to navigate the hardships of studying higher education. One of the first reasons why many find it harder to study at colleges or universities is the curriculum. In these stages of education, students are expected to master the knowledge in their respective fields to become more competitive candidate for employment. Therefore, the subjects students study must equip them with the necessary skills to gain expertise in a specific profession. Unlike schools, where pupils are taught merely basics, students of colleges and universities are required to learn specified knowledge, making the process more difficult. Another reason that makes studying after school harder is an increased social life. As most students often have a limited social involvement while they are at school, they tend to spend more time socializing when they graduate because of the new atmosphere and people they meet at higher educational establishments. As a result, they may be unwilling to focus on their studies since it is time-consuming and requires efforts. If students barely allocate enough time to their studies, it seems always difficult to learn something. Some steps could be taken by university authorities to improve the situation. One potential solution is special study programs that is attractive and take every detail into consideration such as the time needed for its completion, students’ backgrounds, and other factors. These programs not only motivate students with their precise nature, but also, they can bridge the gaps students have. In other words, students can have the opportunity to improve their weak points with the help of specialized programs. Moreover, universities can provide students with advice on how to manage social interactions and stay focused. Since most students are often prone to get distracted by entertaining social life such as organizing picnics or hanging out, the professional academic support is more requisite than ever before. Student advisors can support them to navigate university life and make friends without impacting on their academic performance. In conclusion, the disciplines students study and the wide range of entertainment options may make studying more difficult, but it can be improved by offering more specific course and providing students with valuable advice.
